Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami (mni) is an indigene of Owo, Ondo State. Born in Owo, Ondo State to the families of Pa and Mrs Amos Adelami, Oluka Oribokun. Adelami graduated from the prestigious Imade College in Owo before proceeding to The Polytechnic, Ibadan for his GCE A level and University of Lagos for his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. He further got an MBA degree from Ogun State University.
Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami (mni) is man of stellar qualities; a seasoned Technocrat with over 30 years of quality Public Service Work Experience; spanning from the Executive to the Legislative Arms of Government. An unrepentant philanthropist positively touching the lives of the people in Owo, Ondo State and beyond since year 2004, the immediate past Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly (DCNA); 3-Arms-Zone, Abuja; was the Ondo State coordinator; Presidential Support Committee (PSC) in the year 2019. Chief Adelami (mni) is the current 2nd Vice President, Prison Fellowship Nigeria (PFN) which was Established in the year 1989.

Due to his stellar work ethics and expertise, Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami (mni) was invited to set up the Accounts Department of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) in 1996. As Head of Accounts Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), he worked under President Muhammadu Buhari who was Chairman before being called to Family Support Trust Fund (FSTF) to render his trusted level of expertise from gear 1996-1999).
Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami (mni) was also Invited in year 1996 from National Assembly, where he originally worked, to set up the Accounts Department of the Maryam Abacha led; Family Support Trust Fund (FSTF). He was Head of Accounts at the defunct Family Support Trust Fund (FSTF) under the Helmsmanship of Maryam Sani Abacha from Year 1996 to the Year 1999. He went back to National Assembly and progressively rose in becoming the first Director of Finance of the National Assembly in year 2002 to year 2008. He was called to set up the Procurement Department by Late President Umoru Ya’ardua. At the time during the search for a credible administrator, Chief Olayide Adelami (mni) came to the mind of the think tanks. He became the Director Procurement from the Year 2008 to the Year 2014 when he was promoted and appointed as a Federal Permanent Secretary in National Assembly. He was permanent secretary at the Directorate of Procurement, Estate and Works (SPEW) from the Year 2014-2017. Furthermore, he became Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly (DCNA), the number Two (2) most senior career public servant during that period, in an arm of government. As (DCNA), Mr Adelami was admitted as a member to the prestigiously global Association of Secretaries Generals of Parliament; Member (ASGP)headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
As at the year 2017, he was the most Senior Career Civil/Career Public Servant from the South-West in the Country represented at the Federal Government Level, having deputized the administrative leadership of an arm of Government; the Legislative Arm of the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami (mni) was Deputy Clerk to the Nigerian National Assembly from year 2017 year to 2018 when he bowed out of career Public Service. Shortly afterwards because of his stellar qualities, he was recruited as 2019 Ondo State’s Coordinator by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President of Political Matters; Rt. Hon. Gideon Zammani from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation‘s office; to Coordinate President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-2019 election bid under the aegis of the Akpabio’s led, “Presidential Support Committee (PSC)”.
