The message from the Prof. is coded. His threat is an indication that they can try to spread it to the South too as they can't imagine leaving other regions to live in peace. Buhari himself said so in his statement about 3yrs ago. They can push infected people or goods down South by any means. Southerners need to be very vigilante of anything coming from the north from now hence forth. It's no longer safe to trust any engagement with them. Failure to heed this warning will see the South suffering the same fate as Kano.
Though sad as it may be, Kano's situation can be remedied if sincerity is brought forward. Let the state government admit that the situation is dire and seek wholistic assistance and not just money. Ganduje is so insincere and to him, everything is money and politics just like the average Hausa/fulani.
The prof should not covertly threaten other people who were cautious to protect their regions when they sensed danger. He should blame their leaders in Kano and the North West.
