COVID-19: FG To Review Lockdown Relaxation This Week by valentineuwakwe(m): 12:23am On May 13, 2020
The Federal Government of Nigeria has confirmed that the relaxation of the lockdown will be reviewed this week.

The National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Sani Aliyu, disclosed it during the daily briefing on Tuesday.

Aliyu said the task force would not hesitate to change strategy if the current directive is not working.

“You are probably aware that by the end of this week, we will be coming to the end of the second week of easing the lockdown and we will be taking further decisions based on the review of the performance of the restrictions that we have in place.

“And we will not hesitate to change our strategy if it looks like it is not working.”

Nigeria currently has 4,641 confirmed cases of coronavirus.

pls don't listen to the bogus figures NCDC has been dropping oo. If not, 9ja will enter another lockdown till next year.
Let's just continue this way with the partial lockdown from 8pm-6am everyday until a cure is found.

You lockdown, the count was not zero so why mull lockdown again? Instead of another lockdown, improve enlightenment and allow some cases to teach the people lesson on not adhering to the rules. People may have to learn the hard way. undecided

Jokers. Hwz their statics collated? Waz following the update, two weeks ago, it was 1,110 only for the figures 2 increase to 4, 641.
If u look at developed countries of d world, if any case is recorded, its being posted and uploaded. I watched the video of our Isolation centre here in Naija, I saw where patients (covid 19 patients)were dancing, playing with d doctors and other health care workers.

My candid Advice to FG is...........they should forget about the Review.

Why do you want to Lockdown again?

Any time you ease up the lockdown......there is always rush and crowd that cannot be controlled.

No measures in place to control people want here.......it is always gonna be difficult to people.

At the process the essence of social distancing murdered.

Right now the whole world is easing up gradually......Let their be continuous social awareness.........

Lockdown is not the solution.
it's better we continue with our businesses let's see how we can reverse the effect of the previous lockdown on the economy.
Lockdown or not cases will continue to increase.
Is better we loose lives only than lose both lives and the small economy we're managing

Pls lock down the entire country since Nigerians are too stubborn to obey simple instructions. Covid-19 infection rate is on d increase since the lockdown was relaxed. People must come to terms that this virus has come to stay. It will take at least 2 years for normalcy to be restored. Argue with your cerebrum.

You want FG to start playing with human lives just because of the senselessness of its citizens. It is when hundreds of people start dropping dead that you will get sense.

If more advanced countries are having a hard time containing the virus, is it Nigeria that has very few doctors per capita that can fight it? Lol

You guys should be fooling Nigerians, you lock people down and overlook them, most will get sick in their homes, and no one to look after them, even the government aren't ready to come pick them up. Please allow people with this partial lockdown

Time to remove all lockdowns. Unless you have a vaccine coming in about 2 weeks, then just remove the lockdowns and let people resume their normal life back. Yes some will die, but most will survive.
