The Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force, on Sunday, loosened up the current curfew imposed in the state as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.



According to the state government, the existing curfew which begun at 7pm and ends at 5 am has been scraped, and a new phase of curfew will now commence from 8.p.m. to 5 a.m.



In confirmation to this report, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, affirmed that the arrangement was drafted at the COVID-19 Task Force meeting directed by the Governor Makinde on Sunday.

According to Mr Adisa, "The Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force headed by His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde has affirmed that the time limitation as of now in power in the state runs from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The new mandate replaces the underlying request which pegs the curefew at between 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
