If an inmate is granted bail the issue is no longer if he's guilty or not, it's now an issue of if he can afford the bail

Bail is a form of punishment especially for non violent crime, some people in prison are no longer suffering for their crime per say but for their poverty

instead of 3 years in jail a judge may give an option of 300k fine those whose family can afford it will be let out why those who can't will simply be left with the jail time option
