there was a thread on over 20 pages on nairaland few days ago...many Nigerians can no longer use their tongue and nose to smell anymore...that's a sign of corona

Many as in how many. When u have catarrh u cant smell either. If you have malaria you also can have a sense of taste. So dont conclude because some one said "many" with no proof you already believe hook, line and sinker.

Yesterday, NCDC claimed that Bornu discharged 135 Covid-19 patients while Lagos said they discharged 29 but later in the night the total number of people discharged was not up to 100.
These guys are jokers.

Fight against covid 19 in Nigeria is hard to understand and overcome because it's been politicised and monetized by our politicians and security agencies. We all have seen that total and partial lock down of Nigeria and her economy have not achieved its intended objectives owing to the above facts. Now without any remedy to the contrary, the government of Nigeria should without delay open up the entire economy for economic recovery and enforce known safety rules against covid 19.

Stop playing too wise! Majority are not saying COVID19 is a scam but that the figures are outrageous. I work in in a hospital and I have an intern who lost her dad to the disease. But then, how many of these patients have we seen live on TV?
After all, journalists could wear full gears and be allowed to see them being treated. Same Kano that we were made to believe had an acute outbreak suddenly has curbed the surge, with all those difficult-to-control Almajiris who were testing positive in droves? So what happened there? Why does the NCDC chose to release these bogus figures late at night? I can go on and on with these questions.. Personally, I can't wait to see how this will end eventually. All the best to NCDC in their quest in creating virtual patients on whom they are spending the funds alloted for the COVID-19 cause.
Montlab25:
Nigeria is arguably the only country where some clowns see Covid-19 as a scam. This shows how poorly enlightened Nigerians are. They just don't get it. This has further reinforced the school of thought that says the society is the problem NOT the leadership. Some do not even understand how the government is losing millions by implementing partial lockdown; All they think of is the billions that are supposedly looted. Why will any government be deliberately losing money because they want to loot lesser amounts?
No wonder Fashola conducted sanity tests on some Nigerians when he was governor.

Nigeria covid19 patients don't need ventilators, that's why even though USA have not delivered the promised ventilators, no one is talking about buying any. Because there is no one at the isolation center in critical condition gasping for breath.

Dokpesi that spent several days at Lagos isolation center suspected that the people there had malaria and not covid19 because he did not see any patient in critical condition gasping for breath.
Stop guessing, Dokpesi was never at Lagos isolation center.

Na wa for Nigeria, na award. Ghana has done over 200k test and less than 7k confirmed cases, that's like 3.67%
, but Nigeria has done less than 60k test and close to 10k cases. Please can we ask Ghana what they are doing because we have over 270 death while Ghana has 35 death. How can they call Nigeria champion of the fight of covid 19 in West Africa. Am so sorry for the integrity of our officials.

Great effort. You need a proofreader. Perhaps, pay someone $7 to edit future videos before uploading on YouTube.

2 of YouTube owners are on the list. Perhaps, offer a free ebook to the first 10 people who can name them.

By the way, I don't think Steve baller is on the list. I don't even think he's top 20. I would advise next time, get like 5 different list from different sources or use Forbes latest ranking and put your source there for credibility.

I've liked, subscribed and commented. This will also help improve your ranking. I'll also share on facebook

Anyway,

If you think Yahaya Bello stands to gain something from standing his ground that there's no case of Covid 19 in Kogi state but think the Federal Government doesn't stand to gain anything from inflating the figures of cases recorded per day then you're a bloody hypocrite and not to be taken seriously on nairaland or anywhere for that matter.

Did Kano reduce their testing capacity or what? They've recorded just 15 cases in 3 days meanwhile Edo state that has 3 times less the population of Kano have recorded twice that in two days.

Stay safe my people

Mr Man number of positive cases is influenced by how common the disease is, and number of samples collected for testing.

U ve wait to know, number of people tested.
The highest confirm cases in the last 10days was 25%of the tested.
Yesterday seems high but was 17% of the tested cases(2099)
So lets see the tested.
If we test more people, of course de confirmed will be high.

They do not believe in the corona haox reason why they don't turn up for test. Otherwise by now they should have overthrown Lagos.
Nevertheless, I think the weather also have impact. Kano in recent months have been generally hot with average temperature of 37deg while the virus would not survive beyond 26deg, so the rate of spread would be very slow.

They couldn't wait for the cases to reduce before lifting the lockdown cos they don't want to give the masses free food & money. Now look what's happening in Lagos. Rivers cases are rising. A family friend died of covid-19 few days ago. This thing dey pain me. We're not managing this thing well. But kudos to NCDC for increased tests. More need to be done
