Personally, I would like academic activities to be suspended until the end of the year...
By then, things would have normalized fully.
Better safe than sorry. I'm in my finals, but I can wait.
With or without schools, education continues. Children can always learn at home if their parents want. The truth is most parents use schooling as a way of getting rid of their kids during the day.
Teachers should try to hustle online or somewhere else where they won't easily be at risk in the meantime. After all, you can't teach if you're down with an illness, or worse, dead.
Who are the audio PTA? How can they open mosques and markets but close schools? This is mediocrity.

As if covid419 is still real in Nigeria. NCDC, Polithiefcians, you people are smiling now while Nigerians are crying. A time will soon come when you will be weeping and Nigerians will be laughing. He who laughs last laughs best. Your time of judgement is at hand.

Nigerians can't breath!

Don't mind them, A handful of people will just stay somewhere and make decisions for millions of people

As I am typing this now children from different compound converged in my compound and have been playing since early in the morning

In fact it's was their noise that woke me, how many parents are there supervising them

What has happened to them over the month Tomorrow again, they will still converge

The children are restless with nothing to keep them busy, instead of them playing away their life, is its not better to keep them busy in school

It's funny that the children they are talking about are playing all over the streets, evev the old people don't believe in it and are roaming about.
The people talking are the ones who have bee n in their houses formonth without knowing what's happening around them.

The guy is abnormal, most of them lack analytical acumen...like the said adults won't go to market and meet the children at home..and between children who are at home and adults who go to the market who's prone to die from COVID19?

Good ones. I don't know why private proprietors are rushing school opening. We don't need to sell our conscience because of money. No vaccines no school. Best idea

So while traders are in the market making money, workers in the bank are getting paid, bus drivers and so on they have to stay home starving begging people for money. Even the children you're talking about are roaming the streets playing everywhere.

Yh, everything should be put back on lockdown not that you'd ban one and leave one. Only God has been protecting us, Everyone in Nigeria would easily catch the virus esp the poor because even the leaders are flouting guidelines

Their parents go to the market, come back home, mingle with their children. Isn't that the same? Just a question though.

more exposure to large gatherings can lead to more crisis, yes there are exposures already so should we do more exposures? just a question though

This is the most sensible stuff you've posted so far although a lil bit stupid too. Everywhere should be locked down, markets should follow guidelines if they are to open an interstat movement should be monitored, children are roaming the streets playing around, they should make sure they are all home. That's how we can overcome this not that some people will go to out and bring it back home then their children will spread it in the neighbourhood.

If market places are not open, is it your faeces you will be eating?
As markets are open how many people have died? Have the cases skyrocketed? Children are not affected as much as adults.
The government people are not sensitive to people's plights.

churches ought not to opened, we all put pressure on govt to open the churches. markets will be open cos churches do not give daily food to anyone. The imams especially those that have sense since most of them are old men are not opening the mosques. You guys should start thinking correctly.

Children can't wear masks to school cos 'they can't breathe'
How many children have died in other countries since they resumed school?

you guys lack acumen cos you are blind, the virus has been much with the circle of the elite and they are the ones getting more infected cos they mingled more with those who brought it into the country. It has cascaded down a bit to the communities but still not much within the larger population, reason folks feel its not real. This is why large gatherings were banned and govt tried to even restrict some markets from opening everyday and as we speak not all markets open everyday. The more we open up more public spaces, the more the virus will travel. That it has not gotten near you does not mean it should be overlooked.

Countries that have reopened schools, religious centers and general businesses are already seeing a new wave of infections so its no joke. The virus is a clarion call to adjust and change our usual lifestyle as there is no cure anywhere no matter what anyone says. And for God's sake its not an FG, Nigeria or Buhari problem. Its a global problem that has grounded the economies of the great nations of the world so check yourself and be sure you know what you are saying.

My wife is a private sch teacher and I know how it feels ok? She's been keeping up thru personal gigs by doing private lessons for kids online.
