Watch it again. The Anaconda was measured. The measurements and sizes of all Anacondas encountered in the documentary were of great importance to the team.

It wasn't measured by a certified expert, and i guess they got 20 feet right?? If a certified expert should measure it,i am sure it will be 15 feet max

I'm sure they will have a certified expert in that team. Their documentary is for public publication, they won't release false claims to the public. It is a documentary and not a Hollywood movie, so there is no need for exaggeration.

Then why do records still state the longest verified green anaconda ever measured is 17.1ft long??. Cause non-experts will always exaggerate the length which is not totally due to their fault cause it is very difficult to measure a life giant snake without being sedated and there are guidelines concerning stretching that should be followed,i saw the video and that snake is nowhere near 20feet in length.

The world hasn't come to an end, the documentary and research is still ongoing. You would hear the team reiterate that the one used to attack the guy to be swallowed was not big enough but they just had to use it because they couldn't capture a big enough one.

So exercise some patience.

I will, and i am not disputing the fact that a longer and bigger individual might be wondering in the wild or discovered in future, but as of today, the longest verified green anaconda ever found measures 17.1ft.Not anywhere close to the 50ft snakes in movies that swallow humans like amala

cheesy
As scientists, we will simply leave their size issue open as we are still gathering data for analysis. We are still in the jungle looking for the biggest of this creatures.

Lol. Those snakes your people killed were probably pythons, most likely the african rock pythons. Anacondas are not found in Africa.
They're found mainly in the Amazon rain forest.

There is even a documentary of a man who wore a special suit to see how it feels like to be in the coils of an Anaconda...

The had to pull him out in the end as even the suit didn't save him.

Or the wild life specialist (who was studying them) and got stalked and almost eaten by one of them.

I have seen clips of an Amazonian woman crying over her Son eaten by an Anaconda...

If you haven't heard, say you haven't.
Or better still jump in cage with one and find out for yourself.

Anacondas are not as dangerous as portrayed in the movies. It's very dangerous when it attacked unaware. You can even use your hand to carry a big one, but you'll trace its head from the tail till you get to its head because it response to stimuli is extremely slow, and no matter how big it is, if you successfully grab its head, it can't do anything again (don't try this though).
One things people don't understand is that, the bigger the snake the easier to kill it, I fear smaller snakes more. With a well filled cutlass, you'll defeat an anaconda, but you have to have courage sha, just make sure you give it a wound first, it'll be weak to fight.
*NOTE* NEVER FIGHT AN ANACONDA INSIDE THE WATER, IF YOU DO, JUST BE READY TO SAY YOUR GOODBYE FOREVER!!!!
I see that you got so many likes and praises for this comment.
Some of them, I'd like to tell you are rather erroneous.

You saying you can use your hand to carry a big Anaconda is an indication that you have no idea about how large an Anaconda is.
A human being will struggle to carry a full adult Python, let alone an Anaconda.

You also said the bigger the Anaconda, the easier to kill it. Where did you get such false knowledge from, please? Jesus Christ!
You also said if you successfully grab an Anaconda's head, it can't do anything. Jesus! Please, go make your research well because what you spewed is as erroneous as they come.

I can't believe this.

A lot of snake species are very
fast swimmers and deadly
when in the water...

Thanks to NatGeo, I've been
more careful when getting
close to natural water bodies!grin
