Anybody that commute through this route will know how crazy things really are... This is a very narrow road compare to the volume of cars that run this road daily. So any little thing will cause grid lock... Now,na just some few potholes dey cause traffic on this road around 8 of them...I personally can afford to patch this road if I'm given approval by the government... it's not a big deal...yet we suffer on our way to work and back home... The crazy thing is when people switch to one way... Another Funny thing is Ibeju-lekki local government collect a monthly allocation of about 536 million naira ...and whoever the chairman is can't just bring out 1 million to savage this road... Dangote mostly pass through this route at least 3 times a week... The government officials will use sirens and take one way... Let's forget about the big things.... just put gravel inside the pothole.... AND YES,IM READY TO PUT GRAVEL IN THOSE POTHOLES.... I JUST NEED APPROVAL... THIS SUFFERING IS TOO MUCH. Thinking about monday alone is crazy.... wetin be our offense... My tax monthly is above 10k,yet I pay for toll gate and bad roads everywhere...no security.... Make dem just please put granite on this roads... please.... We don't even want coal tar.... just granite.... EJO,Biko,please.... This tear and wear on my body isn't good for my age... 1 Like |

Honestly the kind of traffic that is happening at Awoyaya thisdays is beyond a mere analysis and i found it difficult to find a word to quantify it. It is a shame that the government of the day see nothing to be done as a remediation to this suffering the people at this area witness everyday. A true government will always think of the best way to make things comfortable for his fellow citizens and not to just focus only on COVID19 palava. The gridlock is been cause by several port holes at Awoyaya Bus stop and it started like 2 months ago when the heavy rainfall started, Lagosians suffer alot and it not a better way of life. Today i personally spent 4 hours at this location for a journey that ordinarily should not take up to 5 minutes. PLEASE WE ARE CALLING ON YOU GOV. SANWOLU PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO SAFE LIFE AT THIS LOCATION BECAUSE IT KILLING AND LIFE IS NOT EASY FOR THOSE OF US LIVING AT THIS AREA. |

I don’t use this road, but I can relate. You will see a small pothole delaying thousands of vehicles and causing suffering for hundreds of thousands. I have come to the conclusion that Government barely exists so it’s better we start finding ways to fix these things ourselves. I don’t live in that axis but I will support whatever decision you take to do something about that road. People need to come together and fix these kinds of things. 1 Like |
