22 governorship candidates emerge in Delta

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State and Great Ogboru of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) were among the 22 candidates cleared yesterday by INEC to contest the gubernatorial election in the state.

The political parties include PDP, DPP, ANPP, ACN, CAP, CPP, MMDP, ALP, PPA and PRP. Others are HDP, JP, PPN, PPP, CDC, NTP, FPN, Labour, Accord, NCP, CPC and NPPP. The list released by INEC office in Asaba indicated that incumbent governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan is the candidate for PDP, Chief Great Ogboru (DPP) Ovie Omo Agege (Action Congress) Collins Eselemo (NCP), Jude Eruka Ukasara (CPC)and George Oyefia (ANPP). Donald Chukwumeke (JP),Peter Osadalor (Accord) among others are also in the race.

For Congress For Democratic Change (CDC), Paul Ngozi Iloba Obanua is the governorship candidate.
