The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, is the star guest on this weekend’s edition of “African Voices,” a CNN International’s magazine programme sponsored by Globacom.

The 30-minute interview show runs on Saturdays, from 10.30 to 11am and 4.30 to 5pm. There are also repeat broadcasts on Sunday from 10 to 10.30am and 11.30pm to 12am and on Monday from 12.30 to 1pm and 7.30 to 8pm.

A statement from Globacom said the company was delighted to bring Adeboye to millions of viewers across the globe.

It explained that the choice of Adeboye as “the guest on “African Voices” was in line with the programme‘s objective to showcase successful and high-profile African personalities who are shaping the continent.”

It added, “Pastor Adeboye who is hugely admired by millions of followers has turned RCCG into one of the fastest growing and biggest churches in the world. His monthly Holy Ghost Service is attended by hundreds of thousands of worshippers.

“The Redeemed Church, which was not well known before Adeboye took charge, has branches in over a hundred countries, including more than 14,000 in Nigeria. He has stated that his vision is to put a church within five minutes of every person on earth.”

Newsweek_magazine named Adeboye one of the 50 most powerful people in the world.

Globacom said Adeboye would take the audience through his inspirational life journey and how he battled severe poverty to see himself through university education as well as his encounter with God and how he built a hitherto unknown RCCG into one of the most popular churches in the world.
