The Peoples Democratic Party has again named Dr. Dalhatu Tafida as the Director-General of Goodluck Jonathan/Sambo Campaign Organisation.



The former High Commissioner is to be asssisted by a former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Ojo Maduekwe.



A former Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mike Okiro, is heading the security committee of the campaign organisation.



The campaign committee was to be inaugurated on Saturday, but was later cancelled due to the death of some members of the party in Rivers State.



Members of the committee had already seated when the Acting Chairman of the party, Dr. Haliru Bello announced its cancellation.



The gathering later prayed for those that lost their lives at the Port Harcourt rally.



Tafida had earlier been appointed as the DG of the President’s campaign organisation before the dissolution was announced barely one week ago.

I haven't heard much from H.E Tafida since he was appointed director of GEJs campaign but it seems he did his job since he is being reappointed. I guess a silent leader.
