That MIL would have over-stepped her boundaries. She should not do such a thing without consulting with, & approval from both her daughter & the husband. I dont think people can just take laws into their hands & do that. If anyone does that, it will be really very unfortunate, & will certainly incure wrath.

Wrath may come first. But after that must come forgiveness (before the sun sets).
After forgiveness, the MIL would not be trusted to remain in my house for the good of my family.

This would be the biblical way about it.

She berra get tha' huge, foul-smelling, local arse of an "Akintola" behind ourra town before I get a hold of it.
It's gonna get ugly real fast and gherro!

Have her arrested immediately. . .
Press charges,
Have her convicted. . . 3 life sentences with hard labor. . . without the possiblility of parole.

For each tribal mark etched! 3 consecutive life sentences without concurrency!!!

Or next best and only option:

Several gunshots to her head to ensure instant annihilation.

Arrrrrrrrrrrantus Nonsensicus!!! angry

What a bush pig!

After all the anger and threat, don't forget that the tribal mark will still remain on the child. I pray such thing doesn't even happen to me.

to the mohter-in-law, I will do nothing, afterall, the deed has been done, it can't be reversed
but to my husband, who is her son, he will have to tell me why his mother did that, whatever annoyance I have for the mother, it will be shed on the son, cos that is the person I have business with, but after all annoyance, a reconciliation will b done in the night btwn myself and myhusband before we finally sleep that night
But seriously abeg, no be funny thing o, I go vex , God forbid
