This morning I woke up to the sound of Ibrahim Shekarau on HardTalk a BBC program. The guy "sabi" cover-up no be small. I guess he stands no chance as the interviewer pointed out (he denied, though). you can watch the interview. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/hardtalk/9406608.stm Ibrahim Shekarau is a presidential candidate for the opposition All Nigeria People's Party. Since 2003 he has been the Governor of Kano - one of Nigeria's most important states. He governs through Sharia law. In 2004 he suspended a polio vaccination programme in his state. This led to an outbreak across several African countries. Zeinab Badawi asked him if he has any regrets. |
