The literary world is full of visionary writers from different spheres of life. However there are certain authors that are regarded to be at the helm of literature in Nigeria, not just because of their art, but also because of their unusual lifestyle that is worthy of admiration.

Some of such writers in Nigeria worthy of mention is JP Clark, Chinua Achebe and Wole Soyinka.

These are individuals whose literary art work has in one way other made a mark on the Nigerian community and the world the world at large. In spite of this we will be analysing Wole Soyinka and sir Chinua Achebe in contrast to each of he'd. These monumental icons are at the helm of the Nigerian literary world.

CHINUA ACHEBE:It is strongly contested that there is not a more expressive writer that one can relate to than the late Author. If you remember clearly Chinua Achebe is the author of several books which are still very much in circulation today. Some of such books are things fall apart, a man of the people and so on.

If you can recollect properly the late Chinua Achebe's last book before his passing is 'there was a country’ a literary book that revolves around non fictional events surrounding the Nigerian civil war. The current Nigerian generation has so much to be thankful to this great man.



WOLE SOYINKA:the visionary personality is not only known for his writing prowess, but also his contribution to social activism. He is a he the ONLY Nigerian that has ever being recognized for the international award, the Nobel Laurette prize. He has gone through countless trails as a result of his activism to the extent of been jailed. Some of his literary works include some of his literary works include, trials of brother Jero, the man died, and so much more. Wole Soyinka is also an known poet.

In conclusion, after a careful observation of these two monumental writers. who do you think deserves the crown of the best writer in Nigeria so far in history.

Both were full human beings who fought against injustice and oppression in their prime using their writing talent. They all won accolades and recognition for their works.
