The day you shut off onshore and offshore crude oil exploitation, shut off Lagos wharves, the eaters in government shall bow out.

not only protest.
I get you Sir! The alternative you're suggesting won't work because the process of using our PVC as a weapon is hijacked at the nomination level (by choice of flag bearers ab initio). Having to choose between two evils (as in 2015 & 2019) is no choice at all. That's how it will continue to be, unless we push for electoral reforms (which the elites will still hijack like the one bubu refused to sign last year).
In the end, protest may just be our last resort to address the gang up of the elites against the masses.

well said, we need to shut down their revenue points. That one would affect them and put them on their toes, the moment revenue starts dropping, they would start acting fast

Why? Is CBN responsible for the state of affairs of the country? This all started of well. Now, it has become an avenue to make money.

The creation of states was not done with pvc nor with the consent of the people. Protest is the way forward. The military coups by the fulanis and creation of more states for the north destroyed nigeria. Let the youths take their destinies in their hands. It is now or never

It's funny when Nigerians think protests are a magical wand to wipe away all the ills in this country.
But they're setting themselves up for a major shocker.

Protests, at least when executed vainly, have never worked. And you can quote me on this anywhere. You only need to look at countries like Venezuela, China (Hong Kong), and the middle east in general for a clear demonstration of that fact.

There is no hidden agenda here even the basic demands of #Endsars the government bleeped up and playing their usual games of creating powerless and ineffective panels to drags the issues and at the end of the day make us look like fools. These youths are smart and they are tired of the rubbish in the system.

Nobody is asking for a change of government bt for government to change its ways of doing things. It can not continue this way. The police are a product of the bad governance we have in this country also.

why do yall deceive yourselves as if Nigeria is OK..we are not OK...if you have travelled out to prosperous nations you will realize that running a government isnt difficult mThe insincerity of Nigerias government is too much.

Running any Government in Africa is difficult - their are massive international disincentives to manufacturing in Africa. Unfortunately, incompetent government has made things worse. But don't say it is easy, because it isn't true. It is statements like this that will drive out a good government and have people looking back at the " good bad old days"

If we get a good government tomorrow, hard times await BUT we should be able to see the runway and how far we have travelled.

Let's not spoil the future or the cost of the future. This is a desperately troubled country.

Nigerian youths, at least majority, have earned my respect with the way they handled themselves since these protests started...

Americans were chaotic from day 1... Whereas, these ones here have shown immense maturity, coordination, and peace!

This government should show transparency for once in their corrupt lives, by outrightly and publicly acceding to all demands!!!

When there’s an election and you all sit at home like it is not about your country or the future of your kids what do you expect? If everyone should turn out and insist on the number of votes being counted, recorded and submitted in the presence of everyone, after comparing the total number of votes with the total number of people around, things will change. If people stop taking bribes to vote for irrelevant unsuitable candidates, things will change. When people stop being tribalistic about candidates, but instead look for the most suitable candidates, things will change. Some of the people sitting in front of Alausa and CBN have ulterior motives. Some are there for the noise, some to see if any cash will be given, some to disrupt things.... The uprisings that changed the situation in some countries seemed to have been successful initially. A few years, and for some a few months, along the line, those who took over proved to be worse than those they wrestled power from. The best thing is to go out as a nation and vote in a way that your vote will count. Get international bodies involved and not the facade of involvement. Get international news bodies involved. Enlighten everyone, even the police, soldiers and thugs involved. Let the thugs know that in a country that works, they won’t need to debase themselves by becoming thugs. Stop voting in or allowing people who can’t lead to lead this country. A person who has no knowledge or history of leadership rises up to take up a leadership position, and everyone sheepishly allows this!!!!
