Nigerians, especially those from the South should always remember those that caused us to lose an estimated 2 Trillion naira from our economy (when I say our economy, I mean Southern Nigeria).

The #Endsars protest was hugely successful and unprecedented in Nigeria's history as mostly Southerners got united in questioning why some evil things were happening in Nigeria. However, the government of the day became alarmed that Nigerians, worse still Southerners could have the audacity to hold the country at a standstill and started using all manner of devilish underhand tactics to stop them. When all their attempts fell like a pack of badly arranged cards, they became desperate.

Not a few people were shocked when government luxury buses and vans started moving large numbers of hoodlums to protest venues with the aim causing mayhem. Soon, we started hearing reports of killings, injuries and destruction caused by these hoodlums. There were even instances where the security agencies stood by watching as these holigans went berserk!

The last straw that broke the carmel's back was when large numbers of protesters came under fire. An action that was premeditated because the lights and cameras were earlier disabled!!

The next day, hoodlums who observed that there was massive anti-government sentiments across Southern Nigeria used it as an opportunity to hijack the situation and start looting, destroying, maiming and even killing. While all these were going on, one would naturally expect the government to put a stop to it, but alas they conveniently allowed things to worsen and excalate beyond measure.

Today, Southern Nigeria has not only lost an estimated over 2 Trillion naira but also lost many of its bright youths!

As we are mourning, the least we should do is to allow them to change the narrative.

They can be mocking us over there because they believe they've won the battle but in reality, they actually lost the fight because we will come out of this stronger.
