Djyucee1:CBN is responsible for the regulation of financial transactions. Anti Money laundering (AML) act states that: 1) A transfer to or from a foreign country of funds or securities by a person or body corporate including a Money Service Business of a sum exceeding US$10,000 or its equivalent shall be reported to the Central Bank of Nigeria, Securities and Exchange Commission or the Commission in writing within 7 days from the date of the transaction. (2) A report made under sub-section (1) of this section shall indicate the nature and amount of the transfer, the names and addresses of the sender and the receiver of the funds or securities. FINANCING TERRORISM Nigeria, the Terrorism (Prevention) Act 2011 (as amended) expressly prohibits the funding of terrorism. Those who finance terrorism initially send in the money & disguise to be making legal & genuine business or a registered organisation disguise as NGO or CSO to form political tension in a country (LAYERING), the money is then use to fund the activities of unscrupulous elements disguising as CSOs/NGOs. CBN made many laws on anti money laundering prohibition act & financing of terrorism, gift and entertainment policy. Many people were happy in this forum that #Endsars protesters account garnered abt N70m in two days not knowing that the money received from abroad as published in one of the accounts contravene Money laundering (prohibition) act 2011 & the amendment of the act 2012. The fear is those people and many of us are ignorant of those promulgated laws, they can surreptitiously be used to put the country in a bad state or some bad elements can use their good intentions to infiltrate evil which can implicate them later, we really need to be conscious and always make things in an organised way. Only thorough investigation by CBN, NFIU, and EFCC can attest all these. We need to know more abt Nigerian laws to avoid being educationally illiterates, because our expressions prove it! |

KKKWHITE: From the diaphram of #Endsars does it look like a movement that absorbs hoodlums and hooligans. Who are regular users of hoodlums and touts if not the politicians, lets even agree you don't have sense didn't you see videos make round of touts highlighting from executives suvs across the city. abi you are senseless and blind. govt orchestrated everything just to win & subjugate the people. Their is a huge disparity between the people behind endsar and those hoodlum + low lives that looted the nation. who gave locations for palliative if its not govt, everything they did was premediated to discredit the endsars movement @ all cost. its so obvious buh nigeria are push overs. |

Said it. Where are those calling for an early end to the protests. You might as well take a half doze of antibacterial or antiviral medication and see the bugs come back at you with a vengeance making your end worse than your beginning. These people know what they are doing. They truncated the protests with violence to scuttle it and the people baulked instead of persisting to get the government to surrender and start implementing the changes demanded. The government and all agents of the status quo held their breathe and are now back in full force to scourge the country. Today they call the protesters terrorists but are not going to find any officer of the law culpable for the issues that matter. No concrete reforms will be made and in a few months we will be back to the 'Nigerian normal'. Today they are more concerned about property destruction but avoid the underlying and more important destruction of the fabric of society. The former can be rebuilt in weeks and months, the latter may take decades of good governance and visionary leadership to overcome. Today the CBN can open its mouth and talk nonsense, a few weeks ago they were dumb. They should have called them terrorists then so we see what will have happened. No, then they were rather calling for 'calm' in abject fear. How did the people of Nigeria so squander such a great opportunity to salvage this country? |

Boko Haram a confirmed terrorist organization finances, sponsors and bank accounts are safe in Nigeria.... The government claims they spend billions to rehabilitate the so called caught Boko Haram terrorist, their wives and children but yet they are still doing their terrorist things like water and oxygen. Honestly, if you are not a northerner in Nigeria you are a slave...a dirty slave and that's how the north sees you. |
