I want to renew my International Passport all myself by applying online which I could see 25,000. Please may I ask the following questions:

1. How long would it take for me to get the Passport?
2. After payment of 25,000 what next should I do?
3. Am I paying any additional fee?
4. Am considering using Alausa, Ikeja, is the centre okay for the processes?

Renewal process is same as that of the first issuance, same procedures and duration too. A lot of people use the "back door" for both to avoid stress and delay.

I actually went there yesterday and one of the officers to me to his office and was saying that if I apply direct it would take 2-3 months for me to get my passport but if he handle it it would be ready with 2 weeks. Though when I left him, I went to meet another officer and after I must have told him that I want to apply it online, he told me that it would take me 2 weeks for it to get ready.

It seem the 2nd officer gave me the right information as regard the duration, but still I dont know which to go for because I dont really have much with me at the moment.

If you want to get an international passport, don't consider doing that in Lagos, Abuja, Benin, Port Harcourt centres et al . These places get much applications always. Consider the likes of Lokoja, Abakaliki, Oshogbo, Yenagoa and most of the Northern State capitals. I got mine in one of these States. I spent just about 3 hours there and got my passport same day.
