The Federal High Court in Abuja had in February this year, sentenced Mr Olisa Metuh, a former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to seven years in prison.

Court says Justice Abang exhibited bias

Appeal Court in Abuja has nullified the seven-year sentence handed down to Olisa Metuh, former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party.

In its ruling on Wednesday, the court held that Justice Okon Abang,of the Federal High Court in Abuja, exhibited bias in the case of the former PDP spokesman.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned Metuh on seven counts of money laundering for allegedly receiving N400 million from the office of the national security adviser.

On February 25, 2020, the trial court pronounced him guilty on all counts of money laundering and sentenced him to seven years in prison.

Well if Adamu Muazu/Isah Yuguda former Bauchi governors and Danjuma Goje can be wriggled out of this same alleged election money corruption, then let all of them go scot free until a regime that will truly arraign, convict and incarcerate these criminal comes on board.

Imagine Orji Uzor Kalu not in jail because of judicial technicalities and failure? So as for now, let the charade continue.

After all the media trial by EFCC
EFCC have always been an instrument of state vendetta, coercion and intimidation by successive governments.Only in extremely small % have the EFCC been truly involved in fighting corruption. They are mainly involved in media propaganda trial charade for any non-self corruption.

Metuh has been harangued, manhandled, abused, arrested and of course jailed mercilessly by this vindictive regime that has swept the atrocities of the former secretary to the government under the carpet! Buhari sits in his bed and awards oil wells right left and center since he assumed office! Over 70 oil blocks and gas field concessions/awards to cronnies! All done in the dark by a president pretending to be fighting corruption! A disjointed and nepotistic "war" against corruption is nothing but corruption itself..

It was obvious to all from day 1. How can you find the 'receiver' of stolen money guilty but the 'stealer' has not yet been found guilty. The law cannot be used as a weapon to get revenge on those we do not like. Once again INJUSTICE Okon Abang has brought the bar to disrepute

Justice Abang Okon will flee from Nigeria by 2023, when Buhari leaves office...all the kangaroo rulings Justice Abang has carried out on behalf of Buhari government since 2015 , will come back to hunt him.
