Ghanaians of all walks of life and the international community have been paying glowing tributes to the former president of Ghana, Flt.Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, as he laid state for his final journey.

The government of Ghana had planned a very grand state burial for the former President who was loved by many.

Attestation to this fact, has been the continious inflow of crowd of sympathisers who have been filling past the body of the late president for the past 3 days.

The country has been in a state mourning since former president Rawlings passed on late last year.

His body will be laid to rest this week.

May his soul rest in peace as God comforts his bereaved wife, children, extended family members and the whole of Ghana.
