TRIBUTE TO NAKSSITES WHO LOST THEIR LIVES AND QUICK RECOVERY FOR THE INJURED IN AN AUTO CRASH WHICH OCCURRED AT YAURI IN KEBBI STATE

It is was with a rude sense of shock and great sadness that I recieved the news of the unfortunate auto crash which involved a bus commuting NAKSSites from the Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto (UDUS) around Yauri in Kebbi State after attending a function of the Ilorin Emirate Students Union. The unfortunate incidence claimed instantly the lives of two (2) of our members while others who sustained different degrees of injuries are currently recieving medical attention at the General Hospital and Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital respectively.

Our hearts grew cold as we watched and heard eye - witness reports from the incidence which left our dogged Comrades and Friends lifeless and others critically injured.

I wish to on behalf of the leadership of NAKSS, National Headquarters and our Members globally extend our condolences to the families of our fallen Heroes and the NAKSS, UDUS Chapter who died in the line of duty and devotion to NAKSS via this tragic mishap. A Tribute Register will be opened online across NAKSS HQ social media platforms by 10:00AM on Sunday, 31st January 2021 for our Members worldwide to send in their tributes for our deceased members.

Our prayers remain fervent for the Survivors of the auto crash recieving treatment at the General Hospital and UDUS Teaching Hospital, Sokoto. We wish them quick recovery and pray against any more fatalities.

NAKSSites Worldwide have specially extended their gratitude and commendation to the Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq led Kwara State Government who responded swiftly to the distress call put across for our Members to be given medical cover by the Kebbi and Sokoto State Governments. This intervention was timely and made all the difference in putting the critical situation under control. We also commend the Health workers and Good Samaritans who assisted at different levels and continue to be committed to the welfare of the victims of this tragedy. NAKSSites Salute you all and remain indebted to you.

I urge all NAKSSites globally to remain calm and stay prayerful as we will provide updates on the health status of our members routinely via our social media platforms as plans are underway to pay a physical solidarity visit to extend the sympathy of the NAKSS Community to our members.
