The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has accepted the apology tendered by popular Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho.

He said Igboho, who apologised on Wednesday in a viral video for declaring the Ooni disappointed Yoruba nation for not speaking the truth on herdsmen killings in South West during a recent visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, is forgiven.

Director of Media and Public Affairs, Ooni’s palace, Mr Moses Olafare, told The Nation Sunday Igboho remains the son of Ooni.

He said: “He has forgiven him as he had tendered an apology via a video clip he produced via social media yesterday evening.

“Before tendering the apology, it was the Olugbon of Ile-igbon that first called and informed Arole Oodua on the phone that he had scolded Sunday on phone on his misdeeds and that, he would soon tender an apology to him on the matter. Sunday Igboho later released a video in which he tendered the apology.

“Even though the way and manner, Sunday behaved was sacrilege to the Oduduwa throne but he has already apologised and I can confirm that Arole Oodua forgiven him, because, there is no perfection in humanity. Sunday is a human being like a normal human being who could misbehave as well”.

He went on: “As the father of all, the Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II remains his father who had even identified with him in the past two weeks he has begun with the struggle and he is still solidly behind him for the liberation of the Yorubas from criminal herdsmen who have adamantly terrorised our land.”

In my honest opinion, Igboho should be the one to forgive the Ooni.

Omo yin ni e fi oriji
I think this should serve as a lesson to those who think Yoruba society is feudal

Igboho wil do the same thing tomorrow dobale beg say sorry and Ooni willl forgive him again

We speak truth to our kings

and Igboho's surname suggests he is a prince himself

Having said that

E je ki a le akata Fulani lo ki a fi abo fu adiye Odua

We are not all Odua
That is a conversation for another day

Odua "ARRIVED" in Ife from somewhere about 1000 years ago

Ife has been there for thousands of year

Odua was A KING and he has descendants who are ALL Omoba

NOT all YORUBA are omoba

Yoruba sons and daughters must protect sunday igboho from any harm, he is our hero that stand with yoruba and protect people of yorubaland from blood suckers, terrorists fulani herdsmen. Sunday igboho, you are the real man and we yoruba people will support you by all means, let's unite to fight those fulani herdsmen because in unity we can defeat them
God bless sunday igboho

Good, we want unity in this issue.

What concerns us now is how to deal with the issue of open grazing, and the conquest ambition of the cattle herders.

We the masses have to get organised and stand up against a common enemy. The government and kings have proven unreliable. Many of them are even receiving payments and other benefits from the government and the herders.

If they care, they would have done something tangible since. But we can all see what they are doing and saying, directly and indirectly.

So, let's rise up. Let us do anything in our capacity, such as Intellectual warfare, legal warfare, social media warfare, prayer warfare, Sunday Ighoho-ism, civil rallies, civil disobedience, and so on.

Rise up and do something.

God is on our side, and victory is ours.

Igboho outburst against ooni was unnecessary, although he was speaking the truth, he should have constructively address him, although I noticed igboho was outraged by the visitation of ooni to the same senile vegetative irresponsive person that have kept quiet over the years, Buhari talking tough against herdsmen alone will have solve the problem even when the case was tender now it has metamorphose into deep hatred, anger and bitterness, I am not sure the doppelganger figurehead will complete his tenure because he is another word for disaster, Buhari will go down the drain of evil history.

No doubt igboho is doing absolutely selfless and great job for Yoruba race, but he needs a strong and well exposed image maker, and he shouldn't be the one talking all the time, his comment that ooni collected ghana must go bags of money is too Childish and irrelevant that can water down the struggle. He should only and always talk as a courageous warrior.

Oni is just a chieftaincy title that the British upgraded so that they will use him for there purpose..

Odua is a prince from Benin, who came to Anago land, meet some people , dominate them and ruled over them

SW should warn that sunday IGBO ho ... That he is joining hands with the Igbo's to fight the noble Fulani...

SW should forget about the presidency fa

Why didn't he tongue lash the Alaafin?.. Ooni goofed big time. Igboho put his life at risk, went to dislodge the killers in ibarapa. All the while, he had the support of the Ooni. After his return from ibarapa, he made a video thanking the Ooni among others for their support. Ooni went to Abuja, upon his return, he changed mouth. Ooni deserves the stick.
I stan Sunday igboho.

kiss the truth!

We are all human and sometimes we will have emotional outburst out of pain, frustration and anger

but it takes wisdom to sholve pride and ego apart and realise that we have done wrong even if others who also share in our rage and frustration hails and praise us does dat make wat is wrong right?

Its only a bastard dat will look his father eye ball for eye ball and day go to hell

Sunday the wisdom of your ansestors is truly upon you

You're busy claiming the throne man while that Fulani herdsmen are killing your people.

Well, I believe Sunday only respects the throne as a true Yoruba man.
That is understandable.

Now, drop your ego and get involved in the fight against those criminal cow slaves.

Forget that you're the Ooni of ife, shiit could hit you anytime, as you also a HUMAN, and are not immune to mistakes.

You're still obligated to protect the land, so, do so and stop feeling fly cos you're on the throne.

Thank you, sir.
