As Nigerias ruling party,PDP faces imminent defeat in yesterdays parliamentary elections across Nigeria, the party has resorted to  desperate measures to steal back some of its lost grounds.

Saharareporters learnt that party operatives are conniving with unscrupulous electoral officials to falsify final result figures in remote areas. The situation applies to the Senate President,David Mark was losing to another retired army general ,Lawrence Onoja of the ACN,in Benue State but, overnight,Mr.Mark had successfully inflated vote figures in four local government areas .That erased the lead of his opponent and handed him victory this morning, See this link for more: www.saharareporters.com/news-page/ruling-party-desperate-bid-alter-vote-tallies-imo-akwa-ibom-delta-benue-and-adamawa

It makes sense. But ultimately, justice will prevail. You will not rig and get away with it, this time around.

And you missed Kwara as well in the title of your post.

Don`t mind them. They are taking advantage of GEJ`s freedom of the press policy. They will soon land in court against INEC to face criminal charges.

People act like PDP doesn't have widespread support. Most Nigerians are voting for candidates, not a particular party.

David Mark is very popular among his Idoma people.

GEJ's freedom of the press policy? Freedom of the press should be the default in any well-governed society - it should not be GEJ or anybody's policy.

We have a lot of work to do to move from this mental tree to which we've been tied to for a long time - the chain is broken, seize your freedom and recognize that it had always been yours no matter what any autocrat claims.

The government is a collective employee of the Nigerian people, and must henceforth follow our wishes for freedom, peace, justice and pursuit of happiness.

IDIIOT
when saharareporters does not favour you,you begin to spew rubbish. Was it not the same result people have been getting from polling units that gave us more insight to the rigging going on by pdp now ? Why did take long for the official reult to be released by INEC or are they telling us that people were still voting as at this morning ?

What is it with some of you and the way you cannot see beyond ethnicity ? Are you forever damned to stay small-minded? Because a Yoruba guy owns Saharareporters that means every story or article it generates is that of a Yoruba person? Do you know that a Non-Yoruba person did not draft this article when even Oyinbo folks sef dey work for Sahreporters?

I bet to you Globacom is a Yoruba Company. We heard similarly that the ACN is a Yoruba Party. Okay. If such small-mindedness help some of you then I wish you success in your endeavours.

How come INEC has hurriedly released figures in the SW states and all the states PDP is expected to win. The results from the major core northern states are still very sparse. Something fishy is happening o! PDP rigging machine has been set in motion!

No need to fret. Remember population in those areas is huge. Relax and wait.

How can any intelligent person even think it is possible to rig these elections on any scale? When all ward results are known?

^^See your life. When we tell you people to educate yourself about your country; you won't. The distances in the North are huge as you can see from the maps. It takes longer to collate results from more remote areas, for example in some parts of Borno, election materials were transported using horses.

Now, that report provided some comic relief. But,considering Mark presided over a grossly underworked and hugely over-paid Senate,he really does not merit a re-election.

That is exactly what is being done. Those beasts do not compare with high tech petrol engines, especially if you need to climb rocks or traverse other difficult terrain.

And Lawrence Onoja had he clinched the ticket would have reduced the obscenely overbloated pay packages the lawmakers help themselves with? I laff in Idoma.

Regarding Mark, it must be conceded, however, that the man does command support among the Idoma people, and his win shouldn't really be that much of a surprise. He actually did a lot for them, what with the scholarships, the FM station, the rehabilitation of some schools, the Apa State agitation, etc.

I was actually surprised yesterday when the results had declared Onoja as the winner.

Sometime ago,he reportedly made a declaration that telephone was exclusively for the rich.
