That is wrong of the Federal government. The money was looted from the state's treasury hence the money belong to Delta state and not the federal government. The state government should proceed to the court immediately. Abubakar malami is the second most useless attorney general after Aondoaka Nigeria has ever produced.
My thought exactly.

I think it's unfair to use Delta State loot to fund key regional projects.

On a second thought, Okowa will just share that money with Ibori if it ever returns to that state.

IMO, anti-graft agencies should have an in-house unit which ensures that government officials use recovered loots for the purposes they are intended to.

It is this fear that will make the federal government reloot Delta's money.

A huge project should be assigned to that money.
The FG can give the money in parts depending on the progress of the project.

Even if the share some of the money, at least a project will be identified by it

While Abacha’s loot was shared to the poorest of the poor with no trace!

Ibori’s loot should go to the state coffers and not the FG purse.

I really do not care at the end cos if it goes to the state it will be re-looted but the FG has no right to decide on what to do with the funds

I've always known the Buhari administration will not be good. What I didn't envisage however, is that it would be this bad!

When Abacha's loot was repatriated, they claimed it would be spent on these same projects (Lagos-Ibadan Highway, 2nd Niger Bridge etc)... Then came the Kebbi governor's claim in over $100million...

Question is, have they exhausted the erstwhile recovered money that they still need Ibori's to fund the same projects?
These blatant lies and tendencies to rob one region (South) in favor of another region (North) will certainly boomerang!

Let he who has ears hear...

I thought they've awarded the second Niger bridge and Lagos Ibadan expressway already, why are they now telling us they want to use this Money to complete those projects again? Abi dem don loot the money meant for those project ni? If truly they want to use the money to develop Nigeria then they should start a new project with it, they should stop deceiving us and tell us they want to share the money between themselves.

Mallam, they awarded the contract then they began sourcing for the monies for the projects. The fact that they awarded the contract does not mean they have the cash to do it or that they will ever complete it.

Nigeria is not blue film, it is red film. Not very romantic grin

Imagine!!! Just from a single discovery out of lots from a single politician out of thousands of politicians that has been milking Nigeria since independence. If we had got visionary leaders, Nigeria would have become most advanced in development in Africa and even ranking with world powers. I doubt if Nigeria could be better without going our separate ways. What a country and it’s leadership!

But Delta people said their money was not looted and gave the man a heroic welcome when he returned to Nigeria after serving his sentence in UK.

The problem is now...if we recover Ibori's loot, it won't take long another looters will loot it...

Our politicians should learn skills so that they can make money for themselves...

Because if so...some of them won't even join politics

No wonder Africa is in such a mess with such people here.

you are not but any than being right on this, bad governance in Africa is as a function of bad followership.
africans than hold their leaders by the throat for good governance and accountability they rather urge them on by giving them those nasty dance of continuity on the street.
