Magistrate With Her Little Baby Join Protest At Governor Ayade's Office Over Unpaid Salaries (Photo)

A Cross River State Senior Magistrate, Her Worship Rita Ititim joined other protesters with her 5-month-old baby to protest at Governor Benedict Ayade’s office over non-payment of their 26 months salaries, IgbereTV reports.

Ititim and 29 magistrates trooped out early in the morning of Monday 22 March 2021 with placards, which demanded that Governor Ayade and the Cross River state government pays them.

Ititim who noted that her baby had been exposed to dangers because she had not been able to buy drugs, foods and other essentials for her because she is been owing the pharmacies, said she had no choice but to bring her to illustrate the plight she had been in over the period.

She said;

“I feel very terrible that I have been forced out in this cold with my baby to be attacked by sand flies.

“I feel very terrible. I am close to tears that my baby has to cope without drugs and foods."

Spokesman of the protesting magistrates, Solomon Abuo said;

“In January 2021, when we met with the governor, his deputy and attorney general of the state over our plight, he assured that he would defray the backlog of the 26 months salaries.

“We are most surprised that he has again reneged on his promise.

“It is very sad, unfair and heartlessness for the state government to treat us this way.

“Some of us have been evicted from our apartment’s over the inability to pay our rents.

“At that meeting, Gov Ayade set up a committee headed by his deputy, Prof Ivara Esu, who has since submitted his report to him.

“All that remains is for him to append his signature so that we can be paid. But we wouldn’t know why he doesn’t want to pay us.

“He agreed that the state government engaged us procedurally."

It's a tough call understanding what's wrong with this country. Are governors not supposed to make recurrent expenditures such as salaries more exigent than these substandard capital projects they routinely embark upon? If you can't pay people, why employ them? Anyway, the judiciary is to be blamed for not exercising their independence. The military technically destroyed this country with coups.

The annoying part is that this guy parades himself as an oversabi Professor. Always quick to dish out all sorts of solutions to almost everything.
COVID-19 that falls within his field, baba is yet to offer any meaningful solution.

26 months salaries?!
If this is not wickedness, someone should tell us what it is.
This is one thing PMB has never done since he became president.
All federal government paratsatals get paid on time, before the end of the month, unlike what we have in previous administration's.
All these salaries delay comes from all these crazy and wicked state governors.
(Sanwo-Olu stands out with salary payment also).
Even with the Billions on billions that the Federal government allocate to them monthly and with the more billions they generate from their various states.
But some frustrated and brainwashed ones will still blame Buhari for the wickedness of their governors.
That is what brainwashing can do to people's life.

The destiny of the 5 months old baby under the sun will judge all these wicked people collectively.
Animals in human skins.

Try and always be on the side of what is right and noble. Without us government simply cannot exist but we can exist and survive without government. Humanity is the reason for government and their only function is to help organise society. They do us no favours please.
