Their budget in NY is $175 Billion while the budget in Lagos is $2.4 Billion for 20 Million people, larger than the population of NY.

The danger of illogical comparison..

You don't understand me oga, i wasn't saying lagos must be like N.Y, can we even ever be like N.Y. with the looting and high cost of governance. lagos can be the new york of nigeria in nigeria's own way, And not like specifically the NY of United states.

Most Nigeria first instinct is always to see “what might go wrong” and not “what might be right”.

Body cam is not only for bribe seeking officers, it could also be good as a security system to track traffic offenders and serve as a real-time community monitoring system.

This is a good step by Sanwoolu. They can now improve on it by later but at least it’s a right step.

They should use it to stop the perennial traffic jams caused by lawlessness. Anybody caught on camera should be slammed with N50k fine. All Lagosians will sit up by force and Lagos state government can also use it to generate revenue.
How much is minimum wage?
We should stop monetary fines in poor economy like ours. Prison is not good option as well. We need to decongest prison self. Community service is the best option. If civil offenders are utilized properly, lagos would be a clean place.

I miss the days of police wielding kondo,
Kondo should be reintroduced along with the body can.

Any police that switches off his or her bodycam while on duty should be heavily sanctioned

As if police in this country will record their wrongdoing.

Body Cam's...
Impressive, but let them try to thoroughly reform our olopka cops, most especially, the government should provide them with good guns, not all this muturu that they used in fighting world war 1.

Lagos law enforcement agents e.g. LASTMA not police

Oga , it seems you don't really know how this body camera works check US , and UK , how it's been done over there ,
See, it's a law for you , to always wear it over your body , the moment you refused to wear it or try putting it off, then they too , ( the management) will surely know that you purposely do it to cover something that you are beneficiary of
And you must be persecuted, except in a case after much investigation, it is proven otherwise
