In terms of priority, in terms of actual impact on the citizens, which one will be more impactful? I think the govt of Sanwo Olu have done their homework and realised is the red line
let them finish the blue line first o

Honestly it's all Ambode's fault, the $50 million USD spent on Oshodi interchange would have finished blue line

Right now Sanwo-Olu can't even start his own projects he is busy fixing Fashola and Ambode's mess with many abandoned project all over

.
50 million will not finish the blue line

Interesting..

But why starting a new rail way when they are yet to complete the previous one

Because they have separate fundings for both

Seriously I thought I was the only one that thought that way. Ambode got paris club fund share and he sunk it into those new BRTs and oshodi interchange. Well, I guess his priorities were different from the rest

I don't like Sagay but on this I can see his point

He doesn't have a point because he doesn't understand that both projects have different funding

Prof. Sagaay may be right, why not finish the project that started 10years ago.....even this new red line project maybe abandoned half way so the man knows wat he is talking about!

You obviously don't know what you're talking about.

Funding for the completion of both projects have been fully secured. Are you aware of that?

But It'd have gone a long way towards completing it. The project was on pause for several months due to lack of funding

Its actually good to finish up projects than to start another White elephant project.

Nigerians remember and give Kudos to whoever finishes project not the person that started and unable to finish it. undecided
Those rail lines are crucial to enable Lagos move. The are not white elephant projects in any way. They have become a necessity.

I don't understand where this Country is going. Do you Guys really research at all before reacting to any Posts on this Blog?!

Both Projects, Blue and Red Lines will be delivered in the last Quarter of next Year. Sanwolu is leveraging on FG standard Rail guage to deliver Red Line.

This is in the News for God's sake. It's no Crime to show you get a working Brain at least once in a while.

Na why APC dey rule lagos since!

PDP unity is Zero!
Yorubas succumb to the highest bidder irrespective of their root/ party.
There’s one thing about Hausa and it’s their support for each other, touch one hausa and all the hausas in that area will stand and support him, let a hausa be in power and others will support him even if he’s not performing.

I can’t say that for yoruba! It’s painful, Yoruba power is with those with MONEY, Influence and Power. Campaign daily to the y ;Dorubas and they will change their mind against you on the election day to the man who gave them rice and 1,000naira.

A yoruba leader will leave his followers and follow the next powerful leader just to be a subject, see the case of of how FFK,Dimeji bankole, Gbenga, Tinubu and co have been lobbying around.

Northerners might have their shortcomings but their loyalty to a cause is unwavering.
All dis bcoz we don't want pdp grin grin grin

Excellent point! You have said it all !!

We would’ve been far better off in Lagos today if Ambode had just continued where Fashola
left off and not leave uncompleted projects all over the place.

People saying Sanwo-Olu doesn’t have projects he initiated on his own so far are just ignorant and not
worth responding to.

Not every post/thread on NL is worth responding to (e.g. Lagos does not belong to yoruba people).

I laugh in Swahili grin

Yes it is Ambode's fault.

With the right planning and funding, he would have completed the blue line in his 4-year term. All I heard during his term was some bogus company with ties to France he was touting to operate the blue line. The line you did not accelerate work on.

There are so many housing projects of Fashola that Sanwo-Olu is now bringing to completion. Does that make any sense?

How on earth will it be Sanwo Olu that will be completing Fashola's project, even when another governor spent 4 years in btw.

What Sagay should understand is that Red Line Rail is already in place as done by Federal Govt. Lagos State is just leveraging on existing infrastructure done by FG on Lagos- Ibadan Railway line by providing additional Rail Stations at Oyingbo, Yaba, Oshodi, Ikeja, iju, alagbado etc and Places where FG did not put Stations on the Lagos-Ibadan Railway Line.

Also Lagos State Government will provide it own red line coaches in addition to FG coaches plying Lagos to Ibadan, while Lagos Coaches will only stop at Agbado or Ota

Lagos State Government will provide additional infrastructure of Pedestrian and vehicular bridges as done in Agege over the lines.

It is a smart move by Lagos State Government under Gov. Sanwo-Olu.

Much progress have been made on the blue line with bridge crossing the Lagoon completed down to outer Marina on Lagos Island. The blue line is almost 90% completed.

God Bless Gov Sanwo-Olu
God Bless Babatunde Fashola
God Bless Ambode for abandoning the project
God Bless Bola Ahmed Tinubu
God Bless Minister Amaechi
God Bless President Buhari (Mr Infrastructure)
God Bless Lagos State
God Bless Federal Republic of Nigeria
God President Buhari

Thanks for the clarity brought into the report.

The project has been confusing me since I read the report and observed the little work Lagos was doing around Yaba.

You are talking about two different projects, and two different rail tracks

FG standard guage rail

Lagos redline light rail metro rail

Lagos played smart here. The red line will use part of the Lagos Ibadan tracks, instead of having to build new tracks.

Moreso, its not as if train will be plying the Lagos Ibadan track every minute so it makes more sense to look for a way to make it more useful.

Does it make sense to you that Fashola who spent 8 years didn't complete the project but here you are heaping the blame on someone who spent only four years and was kicked out by your tinubu god,how intelligent!!!

You Lilliputans ascribe too much influence to Tinubu. Tinubu as a smart man simply flows with the sentiments of the people per time and it has been working for him.

Ambode was kicked out by majority of his party members. Slowing down the pace of work on this blue line was one of his many sins. And I'm glad about that.

The lessons have been well communicated, Sanwo-Olu is not slacking in completion of ongoing projects or being cynical to projects initiated by his predecessors.
