Honestly it's all Ambode's fault, the $50 million USD spent on Oshodi interchange would have finished blue line

Right now Sanwo-Olu can't even start his own projects he is busy fixing Fashola and Ambode's mess with many abandoned project all over

Blame game will never end. Even if Ambode completed the Blue rail....you will still hear he could have completed the Oshodi interchange.

Governance is continuum. Ambode has closed shop. It's Sanwo-Olu's duty to continue. He's not going to finish all the work in his time as well.

So it will not be right if another person says he should have built an hyperloop, tram or state airport. As long as the continuation is there, everything will eventually be completed.

It's a public service, not their personal project.

What Sagay should understand is that Red Line Rail is already in place as done by Federal Govt. Lagos State is just leveraging on existing infrastructure done by FG on Lagos- Ibadan Railway line by providing additional Rail Stations at Oyingbo, Yaba, Oshodi, Ikeja, iju, alagbado etc and Places where FG did not put Stations on the Lagos-Ibadan Railway Line.

Also Lagos State Government will provide it own red line coaches in addition to FG coaches plying Lagos to Ibadan, while Lagos Coaches will only stop at Agbado or Ota

Lagos State Government will provide additional infrastructure of Pedestrian and vehicular bridges as done in Agege over the lines.

It is a smart move by Lagos State Government under Gov. Sanwo-Olu.

Much progress have been made on the blue line with bridge crossing the Lagoon completed down to outer Marina on Lagos Island. The blue line is almost 90% completed.

God Bless Gov Sanwo-Olu
God Bless Babatunde Fashola
God Bless Ambode for abandoning the project
God Bless Bola Ahmed Tinubu
God Bless Minister Amaechi
God Bless President Buhari (Mr Infrastructure)
God Bless Lagos State
God Bless Federal Republic of Nigeria
God President Buhari

Does PDP exist in Lagos State?

No, but they get 48% of gubernatorial votes every 4 years without rigging.

You are talking about two different projects, and two different rail tracks

Lagos redline light rail metro rail

PDP unity is Zero!
Yorubas succumb to the highest bidder irrespective of their root/ party.
There’s one thing about Hausa and it’s their support for each other, touch one hausa and all the hausas in that area will stand and support him, let a hausa be in power and others will support him even if he’s not performing.

I can’t say that for yoruba! It’s painful, Yoruba power is with those with MONEY, Influence and Power. Campaign daily to the yorubas and they will change their mind against you on the election day to the man who gave them rice and 1,000naira.

A yoruba leader will leave his followers and follow the next powerful leader just to be a subject, see the case of of how FFK,Dimeji bankole, Gbenga, Tinubu and co have been lobbying around.

Northerners might have their shortcomings but their loyalty to a cause is unwavering.

U are very correct. Even Tinubu supported Gov Tambuwal of Sokoto State to become the Speaker of Federal House of Assembly against Mrs Mulikat Adeola his fellow Yoruba & whose Political party had even zoned the position to. Now he thinks that the Yoruba had forgotten that. Thank God the same Tambuwal had returned to PDP. Good luck to Tinubu & his supporters.

That Oshodi interchange, flyover at intl airport (beside the toll gate) and operation light up Lagos are some of the elephant projects of Ambode.
He calls himself an Accountant but could not manage resources.

Am with sagay on this one, Sanwo should complete the blue line first,it's been 10 yrs and we are still waiting

In terms of priority, in terms of actual impact on the citizens, which one will be more impactful? I think the govt of Sanwo Olu have done their homework and realised is the red line

Alhaji Jakande already drew a master plan for Lagos, based on that Tinubu drew a blueprint and template to follow they all came up with the idea together all cabinet members, including Ambode as the Accountant General an Osinbajo the AG, the template and model were meant to be followed, Fashola did his best but could not finish, everyone thought Ambode would work on the template not knowing he has his own ideas

This your comment shows how morally bankrupt most Nigerians are. You claim the Hausa style is good because they are bigots ?! Regardless of performance or wrongdoing, they support their kit & kin. How is that good for Pete's sake?!
On the other hand you condemn Yoruba money & influence worship...you are right here cos it is wrong.

My point is both positions you highlighted are bad and shouldn't be encouraged if you have a good sense of right and wrong!

one thing about politicians is that they award contracts so as to get cuts. Those who helped Sanwo wants their cut and he can't do that with the old project which has been paid for

He doesn't have to start anything new. Governance is a service to people not an ego trip or a beauty contest. Do things that dirr fly benefit the people. If it involves only completing critical projects throughout a tenure, so be it. Government is a continuum of which leadership plays its small part and boiws out honourably leaving society better than you met it.

If we adopt this attitude consistently over a generation, Nigeria and indeed Africa will develop.

get it clear this projects ain't abandoned until a successive government chose not to continue but start another.
it is fair and normal for a government to embark on developmental projects (even that might span beyond the life of that government) but abnormal thing here is for another or successive government not to continue this projects for no meaningful reasons.
projects becomes abandoned when another government leaves such unattended. it is not expected for a sitting government to start and finish every projects there would sure be spill but successive government should take over and finish up, start another hand it over to successor as such the society would develop.
only in Nigeria where have thieves and a deadly corrupt system you a sitting government finish projects out of greed.
