Unfortunately in northern nigeria,we have a situation where high level illiteracy and poverty has made the people take everything given to them hook,line sinker without recourse to debating or carefully chronicling what ever is told them,as such people have nw become a slave to a religion.consequently,politicians and leaders in this region have taken advantage of this vulnerability to impose their wishes on the people,so when there is percieved dominance by southerners(unbelievers) either in the politico-economic scene.it is very easy to say take clubs and knives and go slaughter them,burn their churches,shops and houses.

i think ur earlier post on the quran has been able to enlighten me on some of these issues.as a southerner i'd lived most of life up north in kd and i know that some of the people and friends i'd met can stand out to be some of the best nigerians we have but on the flip side of things i've also met terrible beast,i've lost love ones to religious crisis i cant hurrily 4get the shariah crisis in 2000,in fact years ago while i was barely 8 i had been stabbed by an almajiri kid who normally comes together with his mates to my area to beg for alms and food,following arguements while playing football,the statements they were echoing were the ones that are normally chanted during crisis-allahu akbar~blah blah blah.

Absolutely true. Sad thing is that Muslims lie a lot and they like to deny the things that are done by other muslims by excusing the Quran which gave the commands to do such things. It could be correct to say "Islam is a religion of 'Peace'" depending on how the Muslims define peace; but if Peace means Peace in the actual sense, then these people need to re-examine their understandings.
