GodisFirst:
A man wakes up and sack all nurses below the grade level 14 in the state hospitals. Note that these are the grade level of active nurses, those on level 14 and above are seniors that are tending towards retirements and getting obsolete.

these new, young and active ones sacked without replacement will definitely leave vacuums that cannot be filled with months.
Some one is definitely high on something green in color. He should be held responsible for the deaths that will be recorded with in this period.

There are tens of thousands that will replace them. It is laziness that is worrying them

This cant be true...except u dont who Elrufai is.

That short man is the only known devil to be heard of in Nigerian politics.

Even the President and the entire Presidency are afraid of him. They have realised how dangerous he is but that is too late for Buhari.

In fact,he is capable of turning things against u just to cury favour from the public.

Take him serious at ur peril. Even the devil wonders at his adventures.

..........
Humanity First!
It takes a lot & God's GRACE for a family to produce an offspring!
What if that child is the LAST that family is destined to have?
The nurses to face the music! Fvck strike. Don't KILL a being. Even destitute mothers, NEATLY dropp-off their child for Samaritans or Orphanage Home to cater for!
What a wicked world. That premature child can't survive without that incubator, being operational.

Interesting perspective.

Handing over a 2 day old baby in need of oxygen due to strike is endangering the life of the baby and that is callous.

They could have done better. Shame what this country is turning into.

How could d nurses have done better?

are the people not suffering already due to the high handedness of one short misguided dictator?
Who is more gullible here?
Me or you?

You are, because you believed the news.

This is not a case of "two wrongs"

It is propaganda. The nurses never did what the media is painting. This is an attempt to justify their sack.

Wickedness.
The attitude of our health care providers is the worst in the entire world.

But I smell propaganda from the part of Kaduna state government. Just maybe this never happened.
While available information on the matter is not complete, we should not hasten to condemn the action of the nurses. The action just might serve to save the baby who after being abandoned due to the strike will end up dying especially when other ancillary services like PHCN, etc., are withdrawn. The baby has a better chance of survival out of the hospital than in the incubator that will not work. So go ahead and crucify them without thinking it through.

Investigation straight away and if found guilty they should be sacked and sent to prison.

It might be propaganda though, because we had imaginary snippers in the past.

You guys should not trust the government of Kaduna state. It may be a packaging lies they want to use to hold the striking nurses remember they have been saying some many things about them. So they want to use this as an excuse to get people sympathy and support. Don't ever trust this even leaders without hearing from the other side. Shame on our wicked leaders

During the ongoing protest by workers in Kaduna State, some nurses have allegedly disconnected the oxygen supply of a two-day old baby in an incubator and discharged the child, IgbereTV reports.

Since Monday, activities in the state were grounded due to the 5-day warning strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) over the mass sack of civil servants in the state by Governor Nasir Elrufai.

Maryam Abubakar, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor, who disclosed this on Tuesday, May 18, said names of the three nurses involved have been forward to State Ministry of Justice.

There is a strike, who would care for the baby, the government is to be blamed here, do you know how many families he stooped their oxygen supply by sacking them, do you even remember the reason for the strike, the parents should take their baby elsewhere, the strike continues until the govt becomes reasonable, no cheap blackmail here

Don't be stupid. Do nurses sell incubator? Do you even know what an incubator is?

The nurses have behaved badly. Agreed! But don't make stupid assertions
CodeTemplar:
Maybe it was one of those items the hospital lacked and the nurses who sell them(probably on credit) wanted their thing back.
But nurses are quite inhuman more often than not.

The nurses could be working on instructions. People are already blaming the nurses. The nurse can not go and disconnect the incubator on their own. Theres hierarchy in hospitals. May God preserve the baby, Amen

It is extremely upsetting being given such news.I know they were told to leave their duty posts and go home,I know it can tedious too working at the Special Baby Unit but for crying out loud that's a pre-mature baby who could have died because of this their wicked act. Some persons would have volunteered to stay back for the sake of this baby which is all that was required under this circumstances. Why are we too wicked in this Country?Very insensitive and absurd or were they not working to try and save Life before?
