Heathrow44: Nigeria had a parliamentary system and still FAILED woefully... Nigeria’s problem is less the system and more the NIGERIANS operating the system... Anyway, Nigeria needs a system where ALL Nigerians choose the leader, and not just his constituents. > |

stinflame:Since you are purposefully avoiding the question after pretending to be more knowledgeable and insulting others, let me then teach you basic arithmetics: Northern part of Nigeria North Central: 6 states x 3 senators = 18 Senators North east: 6 states x 3 senators = 18 Senators North west: 7 States x 3 senators = 21 Senators Abuja: 1 Senator Total = 58 Southern part of Nigeria South east: 5 states x 3 Senators = 15 Senators South south: 6 States x 3 Senators = 18 Senators South west: 6 x 3 Senators = 18 senators Total = 51 Grand Total: 109 senators In a system where any constitutional amendment requires 2/3 majority, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REVIEW THE CONSTITUTION IN A WAY THAT DOES NOT FAVOR THE NORTH. Now, I am done wasting my time with you, besides insults you clearly have nothing to offer. Have a great day. |

Gov Akeredolu should pay workers' salaries regularly, and stop playing to the gallery on national issues. If you want to change the world, it should begin from your immediate environment. #ItBeginsWithYou 1 Like 1 Share |

Fernandeswagger: Let truth be said. •the American System that was imposed by the then Military could not tell Nigerians that it was a Part-time legislatures in America, with virtually every one having his business- not Full-Time-Politics,as we presently have in Nigeria. -those who have tasted the Senate seat and the juices there will never support such move being advocated by Akeredolu, thereby deceiving many Nigerians. We need a decisive and serious Manager who can make Nigeria proud! 1 Like |

My love for Akeredolu this day is top notch. That midget in Kaduna is a curse to humanity. Part of the constitution review should include repealing the olikoye ransom kuti era decree which allow medical doctor to head hospitals. The headship of hospital should be open for hospital administrators and any qualified health workers. |

1. Senate should be scrapped. One house serving as part-time is ok. You get paid when you attend sitting, you must be a professional (you can be a professional farmer) in your field as well as earning an income, you are not bringing your lifestyle for Nigeria to help you fund. case in question is Dino Malaye et' all 2. All government-appointed and civil service officials must have their children or wards attend primary education in Nigerian public school up to the level of the first degree, if you have a child abroad school within this range of institution, you must withdraw that child and bring him/her to register in Nigeria public school, from primary school to university level. Else, forget it. 3. All government officials, civil servants, and their families must use the general hospital within their local government constituency. 4. Ban Generators in the offices and homes of politicians, senior government officials, and senior civil servants. 5. Back to full regional Government and federal system. all regions should generate what they spend, no central FAC sharing money to anyone. when you do this, even the hisba that are burning and destroying beer up and down will set up brewries to generate more revenue. Even those states supporting bandits and boko-haram will start promoting tourism, 6. Make a government budget and spend a public document to be released on their website at the end of each month. With this, we would have aggressively and pragmatically addressed, education, health, electricity, security and accountability. Tough times demand we have tougher measures. |
