Thats not what INEC said. INEC said that if APGA does not hold its primaries today 23rd, as originally planned, it could be barred from elections as they need 21 day notice

This is too bad. Anambra should watch out for IMO State or Bayelsa State abracadabra. In my opinion, Anambra should rally round PDP, if not, they will regret. I see Soludo winning then the supreme Court will remove him, then APC that will come second will be declared winner . So better PDP win, apga come second then APC third. So imo State abracadabra won't have a chance in Anambra.

But they don’t want to participate in election now, so why bringing Biafra in here?
Is that not what I'm calling on them to do ?

That's not what they said pls. The right apga supposed to do today is first to elect her delegates and not conduct primaries.

INEC’s National Commissioner in charge of Publicity and Voters’ Education, Mr. Festus Okoye told THISDAY that APGA had earlier informed the commission of its election to hold ad-hoc delegate congress on June 23, only to later write the commission to declare that the delegates’ election had been conducted.

According to Okoye, “On the 16th of June 2021 the party forwarded to the commission the list of delegates for its congress for the purpose of nominating its candidate for the said election.

“On the 18th June 2021, the Secretary to the Commission responded to the said letter and notified the party that it did not notify the commission of the date of the congress where the ad-hoc delegates were elected as required by Section 85 of the Electoral Act”

Okoye further explained, “ By Section 85 of the Electoral Act 2010(as amended), every registered political party is legally obligated to give the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) 21 days’ statutory notice of its intention to organise any convention, congress, conference or meeting for the purpose of nominating candidates for any of the elective offices specified in the Electoral Act.

“In the statutory notice given to the Commission, the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) proposed June 23, 2021 for the conduct of its State Congress for the purposes of nominating its candidate for the Anambra State Governorship Election holding on the 6th of November 2021”, Okoye explained.

INEC Has Barred APGA from participating in the coming Governorship elections in September...

Any purported primaries today, is mere academic exercise, ultra vires and of no consequence...
is this what you are banking on to win in a state you have no presence?

Lol. Let me clarify issues to you Nne.

There's no crisis in APGA. The section 85 of the Electoral Act which people are quoting was referring to notifying INEC 21days before the election of Ad-hoc Ward delegate for Primaries. This is peculiar to PDP only because it's enshrined in their constitution.

Coming to APGA, the party notified INEC for over a month ago about the conduct of their Primaries scheduled to hold on July 23rd. APGA constitution didn't state that INEC will be notified for Ad-hoc Ward Congress but for Primary election outrightly.

The Ward Congress election notification pertains to PDP alone while that of APGA states that INEC must be notified 21days before the conduct of Primaries only and not Ad-hoc Ward delegate election.

APGA is very much in the race.

Oga rest. Prof Soludo's nomination is within the ambient of the law. Chief Victor Oye is the duly recognized National Chairman of APGA. There's no faction or crisis anywhere. Ignore the imposter Jude Okeke or Chief Edozie Njoku deceiving and fooling themselves over APGA leadership.

Those imposters parading themselves as APGA NEC will soon hide their faces in shame. There's no crisis or division in APGA.

Let's hope the election is BTW APGA's Soludo & PDP's Maduka

Either of dem has the demonstrated capacity to take Anambra to the global POINT/ DOT in the world's Circle.

But in the courts, which do you think will take precedence?

APGA constitution or the Electoral Acts?

Court will deliver its judgment in conformity with the constitution or law guilding the party.

APGA hasn't breached any law to warrant nullification in the court of competent jurisdiction.
