Eh, but UK that i lived in and used train everyday for 4 years, we were never left on the road like this.
If one train is bad, they just swop with another one. We the passengers have no idea which train is which.
All you hear is "Platform 8, Transpennine Express to Leeds, Hull, ... Newcastle" is arriving". And it always arrives on time.
