The governors are not recognize as chief security officer. It is not in the Constitution. The governor cannot control army, police,DSS or Navy.

For Example. The commissioner of police is answerable to The IGP not the governor.

What southern governors should discuss and fight for is decentralization and devaluation of federal power whereby state police can now be created. With that they can now control police in their state.

But all these will be achieved by our southern lawmakers and senators In the NASS. 1999 Constitution should be amended or better still scrapped so that all these points will be included in the new Constitution.
