The achievements of Akeredolu as Governor of Ondo State cannot be reduced to payment of salaries. His strides in massive infrastructural developments, Industrialization, Road construction, investment drive and security cannot be over-emphasised. No one can deny that all the Nigeria states are not financially stressed.

Before the dwindling revenue due to the pandemic, Akeredolu was paying salaries as and when due and also paying the salary arrears owed by the previous government in the state. Despite the dwindling revenue, Akeredolu is still trailblazing with massive strides. Just recently, he celebrated the first 100days of his administration’s 2nd Term in office with numerous strides. He deserves some kudos

Crap. He doesn't deserve it.

The governor of the year is Seyi Makinde.

Oyo state civil servants have already collected July salary so they can celebrate Eid.

Can your governor ever match up?

If you or your family is not in politics, the oil sector, business mogul , entertainment or cashing out big financially, men you are just existing in this contraption.

The disparity between the rich and poor is too much.

Life as a common man is unbearable in Nigeria,

If it were by giant strides, I’d say Akeredolu is not the most deserving of the award; when there is Umahi, Udom and Sanwolu.

For me Akeredolu deserves the award for his role in the creation of Amotekun, his stern leadership of the southern governors without being scared of the repercussions of Fulani vultures.

He deserves every award for that.

You can't make a comment without dragging your greatest nightmare, Fulani into it, no matter how unconnected they are to the thread, can you?

They should have an award for the worst governor as well to shame some useless ones like yaya Bello.

Just tell us what he uses the state's bogus allocations for as an oil producing state? Common salaries, he can't in full and he's deviced formular for salary payment: 40% salary this month and 60% next. Now, again, tell us how Akeredolu met Ondo health system and what it looks now.

why not? A state where many are civil servants, you can't be building roads, or creating infrastructure for hungry people. Salary first before anything

You are not serious. Are you from Ondo State? Those of us residing in Ondo State know that Akeredolu is a disaster. He doesn't deserve any award. He pays salary by percentages. He just finished paying 30%balance of January for lecturers at Adekunle Ajasin University and for the civil servants he just completed February salary. In fact,he is a disaster in office!Any Governor who fails to pay workers as at when due is a collosal failure irrespective of false infrastuctural developmental propaganda!

THE PERSON OR ORGANIZATION THAT GAVE OUT THIS AWARD HAD BETTER NOT RECEIVE A GENERATIONAL CURSE! A GOVERNMENT THAT'S OWING ITS CITIZEN NUMEROUS AMOUNT OF SALARIES, PAYS HALF SALARY, BUILD FEW AND OVER-HYPED INFRASTRUCTURES AT THE DETRIMENTS OF THE PEOPLE WELL-BEING, DOESN'T DESERVE AN AWARD. THE GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS HAVE BEEN ON STRIKE FOR MONTHS NOW, LEAVING PEOPLE TO DIE SHEEPISHLY WITHOUT ANY CRY FOR JUSTICE.
