The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has said it will resist any attempt to tamper with the results of the Local Government election with the 'last drop of blood' of its members.

NNPP alleged that it noticed that the state Governor, Dapo Abiodun and the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission, OGSIEC, are allegedly conniving to manipulate result for the advantage of All Progressives Congress.

The NNPP state Chairman, Comrade Oginni Olaposi in a statement raised alarm that the most free and credible election result to be declared publicly at Ward 11,Imala, Abeokuta North East is about to be tampered with by the state Governor and OGSIEC.

Comrade Oginni however stated that the 'fraudulent act' will be resisted by the people of Ogun state who had spoken with their votes.

He added that rigging the election should not be allowed as it may lead to violence in the state.

His words: "I want to use this medium to warn Governor Dapo Abiodun, his OGSIEC and his Party, APC not to try to cause violence and problem in Ogun state by tampering with victory of New Nigeria Peoples Party at Ward 11, Imala,of Abeokuta North East Local government.

"The New Nigeria Peoples Party Candidate won that Ward against all odds and that is the only place where we will have genuine counting of votes and the preceding officer there has declared NNPP winner.

"Any attempt by Governor Dapo Abiodun, OGSIEC and APC to tamper with this result shall be resisted with large drop of our blood."

Oginni summoned all Nigerians and the good people of Ogun state to fight against the 'injustice'.

"We are calling all Nigerians and good people of Ogun state to come to our rescue and join us to fight against this injustice.

"Ogun state people have been raped and this is the only evidence and I want to salute the courage of the preceding officer of that Ward and the returning officer of that Ward who declared NNPP winner in the clear face of security agencies and the party agents and our teeming supporters."

He also appealed to the state Governor and the electoral body to be unbiased regarding the election result.

"We don't want Dapo Abiodun and his fraudulent OGSIEC to put this state into violence. Therefore, we are appealing to Dapo Abiodun and OGSIEC to do the needful without any hesitation through declaration of certificate of return to Candidate of NNPP in Ward 11,Imala", he said.
