This is the Tucano deal, it was logged in the official government register with our request from A to Z.

We had records and facts, but none with this fake and fabticated deal

Even sef, selling weapons to Nigeria and having good relations with Nigeria is in their best and strategic interest which was clearly articulated by the US State department just a few days ago

Lol it's like your zombiesism is on steroids this morning? What did you sniff ni?

Lmao you sabi what's happening between Nigeria and USA more than the US and Nigeria government! I hail baba!

That's almost a billion dollar weapons, last year almost same amount was used to procure weapons. Weapons used to fight its citizens who are just frustrated because there is no job, no food, no hope of advancement in life. All round it is frustration, the, only option becomes crime and banditry. Most people are so frustrated in this country that they will rather die in crime and banditry than live in abject frustrating poverty as good citizen,so how are you going to curtail a great no of our citizens with such mindset with weapons impossible,,!. How much is spent on developmental projects that will lift the people off frustrating poverty compared to the amount spent on so called security? Till we change our tactics. Channel the money wasted on security to develop the people, we will continue going deep down. You can't use weapons to scare away a completely frustrated human being

But information minister Lai Muhammad says nothing like that exist.

Why is the Senate and House of Reps about to spend borrowed funds for lobby over a contract that is not in existence?

I don't know which arm of the government to believe again.

He's disgracing himself, but what about you with no proof of any arms engagement with the US? Are you not disgracing yourself?

Look in the mirror..

Stop arguing blindly in the face of many overall concrete evidence staring you in the face. Uncle Lie Muhammad should cover his face in shame for daring to lie to Nigerians even when the evidence is in the media. He shouldn't be lieing at his age when he's now a grandpa. If you care to see the evidence, consider reading this piece below:

"US Senate calls on its govt to rethink ‘engagement’ with Nigeria

Chairperson of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Sen. Bob Menendez, called for a “fundamental rethink of the framework of our overall engagement” with Nigeria during a Senate hearing with US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken in June.

Both Menendez and Sen. Jim Risch, a top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, have placed a hold on the proposed arms sale, according to multiple US officials and congressional aides familiar with the matter, who spoke to Foreign Policy on condition of anonymity.

The details on the proposed sale were first sent by the US State Department to Congress in January before then-former Vice President Joe Biden was inaugurated as president, according to officials familiar with the matter.

Nigeria has just received six out of the 12 Tucano jet fighters purchased from the US government. Some experts said the United States should hit the pause button on major defence sales until it makes a broader assessment of the extent to which corruption and mismanagement hobble the Nigerian military and whether the military is doing enough to minimize civilian casualties in its campaign against Boko Haram and other violent insurrectionists.

Our problem is not illiterate leaders, the problem is illiterate Nigerians swallowing every fake rubbish they read, even you can not show US any proof that we are trying to buy arms from the US, it's not even by accident that the fake news peddlers sis not identify the nameless US lawmaker blocking the fake deal and?

Everything is in detail there and ure still talking nonsense? undecided

A corrupt, rubber stamp and supporter of human rights abuses senate can’t do much even if they go to America to convince the US senate.

You're literate bit definitely you're an illiterate.
Good luck Jonathan wanted to buy arms from US but was blocked, primarily for passing the Anti-LGBTQ law. Also they accused HIS GOVERNMENT for Human rights abuses. Also, as at 2010, Boko Haram were not lethal, it was later 2012, they became brutal.
The inability of His government to secure weapons from the US made Boko Haram to last this long.
Also before this time, Nigeria Army and Airforce operates antiques and still does.
1. Super Tucano Attack HELICOPTERS, J-17 fighters Jet are not formidable in this technological age.
Goodluck Jonathan bought weapons from Russia ( mainly T-50s and T-72s ) which were advanced for the Nigerian Army at that time and due to the dire essentialities to fight Boko haram;
1. The election was postponed.
2. A defense company was contracted from SA to
a. Operate the weapons
b. Use same weapons to fight Boko Haram, while Nigeria Army provides infantry.

The Mercenaries were at the edge of decimating the remainder of Boko Haram when Buhari took over and relieved them off the contract.
Also, this administration is also corrupt.
Not to spoon-fed you, I'll advise you to check up the cost they bought the Tucanos and Chengdu J-17 and compare them to actual cost... All details are online.

Just take a look at yourself in front of a mirror and shake your head at what you see.

Boko Haram became lethal in 2012 and Jonathan left in 2015! Three and a half years were not enough for the destruction of lives and properties on large scale? Boko Haram controlled over 27 local government before the IB was sacked from the seat.

And the reasons you enlightened as the why Jonathan found it difficult to buy weapons didn't tell you that they would always have reasons not to sell weapons to successive administrations?

No be under Jonathan soldiers dey slaughter people by the grave side?

Go and read about Leahy's law of Human rights. It's free.
Also check the arsenal of Nigeria Army and Airforce before 2013.
Also read when Boko Haram became lethal. They are all on the internet.
Maybe a decade ago, you were planning to write primary 6 examination.

When you get there, use the opportunity to also explain to them why you demonically passed a bill to gag the press and also a bill to stop electronic transmission of electoral result. Since you people have decided to take Nigeria back to the stone age, no sale of any weapon to you guys. Go and use bows and arrows to combat insurgency.
Or they beg their Fulani for weapons.
