Venezuela has the world's largest oil reserves with like 1/10th of Nigeria's population...that didn't guarantee greatness. With all the oil derivation with some states like bayelsa,which has the smallest population,yet are amongst the worst.
While things would improve if we had a higher barrel to population ratio...but more money also means more money to be mismanaged.

The only region in the South with substantial oil in Nigeria is the Niger-Delta; the oil found in the rest is negligible.
