Switzerland';s economy is an actively exporting industrial economy. Also, in Switzerland, if you don't pay your power bills, you get disconnected.

In Southern Nigeria, the biggest business is selling imported stuff, a large percentage of people also don't pay their power bills, and thus power companies cannot make a profit to improve power...meaning industries cannot grow as a result....meaning you all would be dependent on oil money.

Venezuela has the world's largest oil reserves with like 1/10th of Nigeria's population...that didn't guarantee greatness. With all the oil derivation with some states like bayelsa,which has the smallest population,yet are amongst the worst.
While things would improve if we had a higher barrel to population ratio...but more money also means more money to be mismanaged.

Venezuela issues was caused by corruption and they were depending on oil money and when oil prices crashed it affected them, because they had no other source of income
