Chidinma Adora Ojukwu, the Prime suspect in the killing of the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga, and one Adedapo Quadri, were, on Monday, remanded in prison custody by a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court, POLITICS NIGERIA has learned.

Magistrate Mrs Adeola Adedayo remanded Ojukwu for 30 days, pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

Ojukwu, 21, was alleged to have murdered Ataga in a shortlet in Lekki area of Lagos State. She and the deceased had been ‘dating’ for sometime.

She confessed killing the deceased because she needed money from him. She has been in the custody of the Nigerian police Force until her remand today. Ataga, on the other hand, has been buried.

They charged her to magistrate again? Why charge her to a magistrate court when the trial will end up being decided by the high court?

This kind of legal processes is just annoying and tiresome. A case that should be decided in 6 months might end up 3 years in court without any meaning.

Just like that

To what end? Why dilly dally on such an important case? Remanded for 30 days only to come and be remanded again without any meaningful headway.

I strongly believe that proper investigation has not been carried out in this matter and if care is not taken the police will not get anything out of this case.
A staff was murdered in Shell office PHC and forensic experts were brought in from outside the country and the killers were arrested. The government or the family should spend money and get the required evidence that will nail the murders.
All Chidinma needs to do is to get the services of a good lawyer.

Chai all the ladies I knew including my lovely wife that bear chidinma are usually are calm and hardworking ,but how this particular one turn out to be a heartless beast is beyond me.. you killed a human being over money u will steal from him yet u can't spend it and u still have to spend the rest of your days behind bars ..folks be diligent in your work ,you will make it if u cultivate the habit of spending less on things that are not necessary,then be contented with your wages ,u will be happy and at peace all the time ,living at peace with God is eternal way of remaining at peace all the time ,if the lady knew she will be caught she won't have done what she did ,this is the same way those who die in sin shall regret it because of the agony of spending eternity without God
