Despite the ongoing case in the industrial court over the strike by the resident doctors under the aegis of NARD (National Association of Resident Doctors), the FG yesterday directed the CMDs of teaching hospitals in the country to withhold the salaries of all resident doctor.

The instruction can be seen clearly written in the memo below.

It's now obvious that the government really doesn't care about the health of the masses anymore neither about the welfare of the striking doctors. After all, they travel abroad to receive treatment whenever they fall sick.

It can be recalled that the resident doctors went on strike some weeks back over issues such as inadequate hazard allowance which is currently at 5,000 naira per month despite multiple hazards they are exposed to. Other issues include poor working facilities and conditions non-payment of training fund etc.

Rather than fulfilling the agreement with the resident doctors, the federal government has decided to try to force the Doctors back to work, by taking them to court by withholding their salaries even while the court case is on.

Nigeria, where do we Go from here?

Interesting.

We are always very quick to blame government when they take the tough decision. There is an existing court order asking the NARD to call off their strike and resume immediately. So far so good, they have refuse to obey a valid order of the court. So, why blame government for withholding their salaries?

FG has been paying their salaries in good faith despite the court case. NARD should also show good faith by obeying the court order. A lawless group cannot be talking about justice.

If u pay them, they go fly out to Saudi Arabia to complete their recruitment in less than 5 days. Their passports number should be put on customs/DSS flight risk

Why hold their pay, are they supposed to still stay in this country after you release their pay knowing fully well you can still sit on it anytime your head is touching?

Buhari doesn't care because Buhari doesn't need Nigeria doctors. He and his family will go abroad for medical treatment.

He doesn't care if sirjamo, mannabbgrills, Tinubuadvocate, madridguy, or blackpanda and their families perish for lack of doctors in hospitals.

Mannabbgrills and his gang of Evil Hailers are just dispensable pawns on buhari's chessboard. So, why should Buhari care about any of them or their healthcare needs?!

How many court orders has Buhari obeyed since he became president?

Oh, I forgot you are an Evil Hailer. You aren't supposed to reason.

There is no justification for medical doctors refusing to obey court order.

But there is justification for buhari to disobey court orders, right?

Is there anything called dignity and morals where you came from?

If I ask you to mention two court orders that Buhari has disobeyed, you will run away like the others before you.

If you’re a resident doctor, tell your colleagues to obey the court order and resume immediately. Until then, you’re not getting a kobo out of your salaries. No work, no pay.

The limit of the leader is the limit of the followers.

You should tell the cursed man you are defending to stop disobeying court orders first before expecting others to do the same

Lol, you have to go and dig up a 2019 story to support your rubbish claim. Is Sowore still in detention? Is Zakzaky still in detention? Is Dasuki still in detention?

Go and do more research and come back with just two court orders that have not been obeyed.

It's obvious that you senseless Nigerians and your government doesn't want to treat Doctors right. Let me assure you that we will leave the country and if we don't we will continue to show lackadaisical attitude towards work which will result in many more death of people like you especially.

Two wrongs don’t make a right. You and your colleagues should obey the valid order of the court if you want to collect your salaries. You can’t be violating a court order and be seeking for justice at the same time. One who comes to equity must come with clean hands.

You people have always been sloppy at work destroying lives without any check. It's good you go and see if you can work like that in other climes.

I, in any case know of doctors who ran away from Saudi when cases of incompetence and misconduct was mounting. They are now back in Nigeria heaving sigh of relive at their lucky escape.
Just go and see yourself if the poor work ethics your celebrate here will work for you in Saudi.

You said I should show you when Buhari ever disobeyed court orders and I showed you, but like the disgrace you are, you are already changing the story.

It doesn't matter if Buhari disobeyed court order in 2015 or 2021; the question is has Buahri ever disobeyed court order before?

You shameless hypocrite

Rarely do you know that you are nailing the coffins of your children with every word of defence you give this government.

I pray it will be too late before you realise that you are senseless

This is pathetic. PMB will always get medical attention when he wants it. Keep cheering the doctors to disobey court order while comparing them with a presidents who has more responsibility is far greater and more noble than some people fighting for more money in a country grappling with various economic challenges. At the end it is you who will need their services and will be rendered terrible services. Always know what is in your interest.

FG spends an unacceptably high portion of its budget to take take of its workers who hardly number up to 4M less than 5% of the population. The same workers continue to inflict the biggest damage on the country despite being in the front roll seat to receive the benefit from government.

If you have any sense in your brain, you will know that this is the more reason the doctors should be well treated.

If the doctors abroad are poorly treated, will Buhari be able to get treatment from them?

The strike becomes illegal the moment Court ordered them back to work and they disobeyed.

They will not miss the salary, because they work in multiple health centers.
