CODES P0340 P0345 P0335 These are one of the most common trouble complaints for Nissan vehicles. The codes refer to issues with the crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensors. SYMPTOMS Issues with starting Car may switch off while driving Transmission jerks SOLUTIONS Replacing whichever sensor is faulty should be the last option. First, check wiring to and from the sensor for breaks. Next remove sensor and examine for chipping (obvious indication to replace) Note also that because these 3 sensors work together, it is possible for the crankshaft sensor to cause a camshaft sensor code to light up. Therefore, if replacing the one doesnt solve the problem, replace the other |

Good news. I see there is valve body in your list. For those having the 6th gen Maxima (2004-06), this might really become a great relief. Keep us posted and updated on your stocks. |

Did you recently carry out repairs or modifications around your bumper, seats, stereo, or dash? Do you now have your airbag light blinking? This is an airbag light reset procedure which works for most recent Nissans 1. Turn the key from off to on (Do not start the car) 2. Watch the airbag light closely. It will stay on for a few secs. and then as soon as it blinks off (the start of the flashing), turn the key off instantly. 3. Count to 5 4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times until you have done the cycle three times. 5. Now turn the key on and watch the light. It will start blinking in a different, slower manner. This is diagnostic mode. You can watch this for a little while, no hurry. 6. Now turn the key off again, Count to 5 like in step 3 again, and turn back on. If the procedure worked, the airbag light will not be flashing. Note that this procedure only works in cases where a reset is required. If a component is unplugged or faulty, this will not resolve it 1 Like |

If you own a 2005-06 Pathfinder, Xterra, Frontier especially, do THIS NOW. If it hasn't happened already, your radiator will crack and leak coolant/water into your transmission and both will require replacement. This will happen to at least 90% of the above mentioned model ranges. The solution, if it hasnt happened already, is to install an external transmission oil cooler and bypass the radiator completely as it has a design flaw which Nissan is well aware of and facing a class action lawsuit as we speak. Note, that this radiator issue is possible in other Nissan vehicles as well and the external cooler is highly recommended. Cheers |

Re: Nissan/infiniti Parts Store On Opebi Road by nissparts(m): 1:03pm On Aug 17, 2011 |
Have you done multiple valve body replacements and found they didnt work? Have you changed your transmission and had it damage again in a few days or not work at all? The reason is simple. The replacement valve body was most likely fine, so was the replacement transmission. However, my people suffer from lack of knowledge. In most US spec Nissans, especially the ones with CVT transmission, each time a valve body/transmission is replaced, the data (EEPROM) on the current TCM must be erased (flashed) because it already has data from the former valve body/transmission written on it. For your replacement to work, the TCM must be able to recognize it and synch with it. Therefore, a TCM EEPROM erase procedure MUST be followed. After this is done, a simple procedure to write the data from the replacement valve body/transmission to the TCM must also be followed for all to be well. Please take note! |

Good day, 5 days ago i was driving my Altima '03. Suddenly my throttle stopped and the reve came down to 2000RPM then lower. The car slowed down to snail speed. I tried pumping the thruttle but the car wont go more than 1500RPM. I swithced off and turned back on and it picked up and drove normally only for it to happen some hours later. It has happened everyday since then. Every time it happened i wait 2 minutes and switched back on and it runs normal. Please whats the problem? |
