Jesus' life started countless years before the earth was created, he has been with God before Adam so to Jesus the descendants of Abraham who is also a descendant of Adam are just little children compare to Jesus' experience in life! smiley

The key differences between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant are

OLD COVENANT, YHWH
● Given by God to His people through Moses
● An agreement between God and the descendants of Jacob .I.e. everyone born of the blood of Jacob is born bound to the agreement
● Promise of Life(Eternal) and Death(cessation upon death) to the children of Israel according to whether they obeyed or refused to obey the Law.
●God's Law in the Land of Canaan

NEW COVENANT, Jesus Christ
● Given to everyone who will submit and obey through Jesus Christ
● An agreement between God and individuals men - not peoples or nations
● Promise of Life(Eternal) to all who believe, and Eternity in either of Heaven or Hell for those who submit and those who refuse to obey the Law
● God's Law in the Kingdom of God

If you see, the Old Covenant people belong in the land of Canaan,whereas those of the New Covenant are people who belong in the Kingdom of God. Elijah, the one you posted of earlier, is of the Old Covenant and so of the Land of Canaan. Whereas those who belong to Jesus Christ are of the Kingdom of God. undecided

The idea of "men of God" belonged in the Old Covenant. You posted where Elijah was referred to as one and rightly so because there were men selected by God to serve of position of intercesors/ messengers between God and man. undecided

There are no such men in the New Covenant because that need for intercession between people and God has been eliminated by Jesus Christ. Instead every man has direct connection to God in the New Covenant - every person who belongs to God in His New Covenant is a prophet . undecided

Well, look at all those who call themselves men of God. Can you point to at least one who does not somehow see his/herself occupying the same shoes and office as those written of in the Old Covenant, this even as they claim to be of Jesus Christ? undecided

I saw that but chose to focus on that title since we live in a world where so many claim to be true worshipers yet with little to no knowledge of the New Covenant Law, or what role those who belong to Jesus Christ truly occupy in this world. undecided
