Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has visited the site of the collapsed building on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi to inspect the level of work in the ongoing rescue operations.

Governor Sanwo-Olu's visit comes hours after his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat visited the site to give updates on the combined efforts of the State Government, Federal Government Agencies as well as Julius Berger, HITEC, Craneburg, CCECC to rescue those trapped in the as a result of the building collapse.

Governor Sanwo-Olu has commended the first responders on the job done so far.

In a sane society there are quality assurance officers and project supervisors who go around projects site to inspect materials used for constructions.

In the zoooo everything is corruption

Sanwo-Olu is really putting in his best effort

He should also direct the ministry in charge to take critical look into other buildings so as to prevent a recurrence of what happened.

Flip-flopper of a man

This is sad. This problem of fake materials, drugs, and corruption is killing Nigeria. We are having super high population explosion, and we arent saying much. This is not even counting the Nigerians out of the nation. This is getting out of hand. We need to retrace out steps back to holiness, godliness, and faithfulness. We have to be accountable for the responsibilities we have.
