Widening deficits, poor crude oil production, rising subsidy payments and lingering foreign exchange challenge appear to be compounding Nigeria’s revenue problems, making borrowing the last resort for the Federal Government in financing the N16.39 trillion 2022 budget. Permission granted, pls borrow as much as you want. 3 Likes |

Is it that this government doesn't know about this popular primary school idiomatic expression “those who go a-borrowing, go a-sorrowing...whether shortly or the eventual future, that debt is going to have to be repaid. You keep borrowing with nothing to show for it. How do they plan on repaying all these borrowing/debts? 10 Likes 1 Share |

The Year is 2022, SS1 Students are sitting in a class. The Economics teacher pops in an asks a simple question "What is the major source of revenue for Nigeria.?" One of the students confidently shouts.. "Crude Oil," The Class burst into laughter. The Teacher scolds and punishes the student. Another student stands up and answer" Borrowing is the major source of revenue in Nigeria, amounting to 76% of the National Reserve" The teacher smiles and the class cheers the student. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

how can Nigeria achieve 4m bpd when buhari is the 'juicy' petroleum minister? there are a lot of production ready marginal fields in anambra basin and the golden basin but buhari is busy sinking billions of dollars in oil barren north. I pity the next president of Nigeria. No matter how good he us, it is going to take Nigeria at least 16 years to recover from the buhari induced damage. If you are an activist and you can't protest against this evil government now, curse be unto you if you finally find your voice when a Southerner is the president 5 Likes 1 Share |

Nigerians will learn to never elect a cattle herder with zero economic sense again just because he promises to fight “kwaraption”. Personally I will prefer a little bit of corruption with a competent government. There was corruption in Obj’s government but he handled his business. There was corruption in GEJ’s government but he surrounded himself with a sound economic team. This PMB is just clueless and there’s is still corruption in his government Sef.
