The problem with this people is that they believe that what ever secessionist state they create will be ideal, no terrorist attacks, � stable electricity and a London. What u are proposing is the ideal. The zamfara scenario is quite different from the Borno situation.

Civilian JTF actually came about and was sustained not because of the will of d people, but because they had d utmost support of the state govt and the federal govt at d time. The state govt supported them financially and with arms. the FG thru the military saw them as valuable asset and allies that could gather intelligence and cover alot of ground before any major operation.

The situation is quite different now under the present federal administration. This administration wouldn't tolerate civilians bearing arms against the bandits for reasons it has yet to tell Nigerians. If u are conversant with benue/herdsmen situation, the FG frustrated every attempt by the benue govt to arm it's citizens to defend themselves against herdsmen.

Inasmuch as the idea is very good, the atmosphere as dictated by the FG is different from what obtained in the last administration

U are right, they had govt support, but u know, risking their lives is no easy feat. A terrorist tried to assassinate someone with an AK. A CJTF rush the terrorist, got shot through his stomach but still successfully pinned down the terrorist!. In another situation, a CJTF push himself & a suicide bomber into a sewage. they both died but he saved lots of innocent people..Bros ehn... financial support alone ain't enough for such sacrifices
