Today, I remember my great father
Sunday Eke who was a Nigerian soldier of the Royal West African Frontier Force (RWAFF). with the battalions of the Nigeria Regiment that served in Burma during the second World War (1939-1945).

Rip to Lt Colonel Abu Ali.

Galant soldier and officer.

One of the very fewest times you will see Top military commanders in Nigeria cry was when he was laid to rest.

Biggest honour you can give him and many other brave soldiers, is to be a solid help to the family they left behind.

They knew/know what they signed up for, and are being compensated appropriately, so there's technically nothing altruistic about them. It's just a job, maybe a little bit more dangerous than others, but a job nonetheless.

Who told you they are being compensated appropriately? It seems you know nothing about plight of those soldiers, some soldiers are suffering from PSTD, they are also not well equipped.

Thanks for this I really enjoyed reading it ,

Nigeria really had good military generals back days unlike the vegetables we have now

I love that name dongoyaro
I never thought Nigeria had some tactical military officers in the past, it is nice anyways. Any military officer that is very good will not live long in this present Nigeria just like Colonel Abu Ali or Hassan or maybe demoted just like General Taiwo who spoke out in Borno almost two to three years ago that soldiers were not well equipped.
