Not true, because if it were true, Ambode would have gone for a second as was initially supported by BAT.

Other stakeholders including GAC appeared to have moved against BAT’s initial endorsement based on personal grievances against some of Ambode’s policies including that of the garbage trucks operations in Lagos. This i belief is why Tinubu could do nothing in spite of several entreaties by PMB.

This may be why he capitulated on his earlier support for Ambode, and even threw his weight behind direct primaries put forward by Oshiomole. Of course this appears to have endeared him more to the grassroots party members, who believed they now have more say than ever. This show of love and support could be observed during the party primary that produced Sanwoolu. Tinubu was being thronged by the crowd for giving the delegates the power to chose their leaders.

Tinubu, it appears, has mastered the art of riding the wave in my opinion. He seems to understand his people.
