Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun yesterday told the National Economic Council that the balance in the Excess Crude Account stood at $2.259 billion as of April 30, 2016.

The minister put the interest accrued on the account at $429,903.55 “for the month of April 2016 experiencing a little drop in interest”.

She also presented to the council, the Fiscal Sustainability Plan and Fiscal Framework for Sub-National Governments in Nigeria which include strategic objectives and recommended action points.

Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole told the council that the ad-hoc committee on the management of the Excess Crude Account and payment into the federation account endorsed the forensic auditors firms as earlier proposed by the finance minister to audit the ECA.

Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello said the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor told the council that 30 states had so far received bail-out funds as of May 18 2016; while 35 had applied for the Excess Crude Account-backed loans.

The issues at hand are inflation, starvation and unemployment and people want to see government tackling these basic economic problems, before they give meanings to figure manufactured by the government. Buhari and his economic team should wake up and act decisively to provide solutions to these priotised problems. Appointment of auditors, loan for the governors and balance in the ECA are meaningless to a man with an empty stomach and a leaned pocket.

PMB didn't stop d amnesty program rather he
stopped d big boys militant from siphoning d
money meant for d other militants.
He also stopped d big boys from looting in d
name of pipe line protection cos dey are also d
ones stealing d crude oil.
PMB initiated d cleaning of Ogony land and he
has said he is here not to loot but improve d
infrastructure deficit in ND and Nigeria as a whole but wat did we get from d
criminals in d name of ND Avengers, bomb!
Bomb!! Bomb!!!
Some persons here are happy forgetting dat
those guys are only fighting for their pocket like
Asari n Tompolo. Take a trip to Asari home town
even Tompolo and u will weep for their
communities, poor health facilities, dilipidating schools, poor road network while those guys amased wealth for ONLY demselves leaving their pple in same poverty. Some even went to neighbouring country to invest forgetting to poor communities.
Enough of Negotiation let's fight dis criminals
once and for all, d more we negotiate d more other groups will pop up too. Dey shud also hold their looting governors instead of disturbing PMB
Let's fight dem so dat their communities can
develop and we too will also have peace since
God has helped with a President dat is not here
to loot like d previous.

Hmm. Thats good that the Federal Government are letting us know the figures inside Excess Crude Oil Account, (although, the figures might be fabricated) the government should do the needful and let the State Government acquire these monies, (funds or loans) so that it will be used in each Governor's ruling state, use for the masses.

No much shift with wat GEJ left there. After one year, dey have saved little or nothing.
But wait oooo... all those monies we av been getting from crude oil sales since May 29th, 2015 till now, recovered from looters, and internally generated revenue from MDA's. Dey didn't pay ministers, perm secetarys, aides and all 4 about 6months. Wat have they been doing wiv d monies apart from paying salaries, sharing to states, buhari's junketing, inconclusive elections.
Wat else, cos I don't know wen a project was kicked off by buhari and started and work is ongoing, not 1km of road added, not 1MW added, not one new sch built, no money saved, no new weapons bought after about 360days?(but they are quick to say we are loosing so so billion daily wen one pipeline blows, so they av been making billions wen the pipelines were working?)
Atleast fuel has been averagely 39dollar per barrel. Cos it's 47 now.

GEJ was corrupt but projects were going on. Where are d projects now, that nobody is stealing.

This is a bad ass Paradox.

I dont want to say much bad words but with the level of indifference towards the Niger Deltans and the high incidence of bombing of pipelines I see that very soon there will be no crude account , talkless of Excess Crude Account.

All thanks to PMB, The Sheriff of the zombies!
